What is your point. The team, along with all other bad teams you have mentioned, are doing bad currently, and you want to compare why some bad teams are worse than other bad teams. Cant you just admit and see things for what they are. All teams above are bad, whether its lack of talent, bad coaching. Awful gm decisions, etc. Good teams find ways to win, and bad teams find ways to lose. You can argue till your blue in the face that the canucks are better than what their record shows, but i will agree to disagree.

A team being bad, or being void of NHL talent, is a result of someones decision making, at some level. Owner, gm, scout, coach, etc

A team being bad is also not strictly a result of bad coaching, lack of talent, etc. Its all a combo.

The defense needs a full over haul. We need to add 3 (at least as not all will pan out) defense prospects with top 4 upside. You only get them through the draft.

With this being a strong draft for dmen. We should really look to load up on picks for the upcoming draft. Take on bad contracts if need be if they are short term. Move anyone who wont be here long term.

Hopefully we can sign Daniel Brickley and get the big guy back from russia.

no canuck should make more than horvat (i'm going to ignore LE) until boeser gets his next deal.

my way of saying don't bring in ufa's that cost more than horvat until the team is really looking to contend. that way, the team will truly transition to the newly drafted core.

bring in a player whose salary is more than horvat's (and curse you LE) and it muddies the water this early in the rebuild.
