He had 24 goals in 61 games last year. Even if you use this poopty year he'd have gotten there.

Yeah I don't get it. Cole is a bottom pair guy. He's been a healthy scratch multiple times this year.

He could be a good depth add for a contender, but trading our big ufa for some meh depth defenseman that's also a ufa makes absolutely zero sense.

Most games in the NHL are close. Secondary scoring is important, as evidenced by the Sabres record when Pouliot scores. We don't get a random goal every 5 games from girgs, larsson, nolan, Wilson, Risto, Falk, scandella, Bogo, McCabe, Falk, Tennyson, antipin, pominville (lately).

When your depth doesn't show up, you're lost.
