Traded away:
Bieksa
Burrows
Forsling
Garrison
Hansen
Kesler
Lack
Kassian
Shinkaruk
2nd
2nd
4th
5th

Received:
Baertschi
Dahlen
Dorsett
Goldobin
Granlund
Gudbranson
Larsen
Pouliot
Prust
Sbisa
Sutter
Vey
7th

This is roughly the totality, cancelling out picks that he acquired/traded that were in the same round. And not including the AHL'ers traded(insert Lack, Larsen and Vey jokes here). Also removing players/picks he acquired and then traded again.

Hopefully someone else takes what good he's done a carries it forward.

Vegas picking C William Karlsson was a huge win for them, where did this kid come from? Shows you what some young players can do with opportunities.

Another Anaheim pick

I really wonder why more of the rich teams/owners don't try and poach some of these scouts from teams like Anaheim/Nashville/Tampa/Winnipeg, etc.

I know they'd need permission, but you gotta imagine that tampering would be pretty easy since these guys all travel a lot.

If I was an owner/GM, I'd try to poach as many of their scouts as I could.

We beat Pittsburgh twice handly and looked fast but we had a full lineup.
- Bettmanhatesus

JV and Pouliot are the only faster additions right now to roster. But the team's style of game is different because of TG's system. Its the opposite of WD's and why their pace looks faster.

The Canucks have to get something out of the twins retirement.

it's not the losing that pisses me off, it's the inept moves that prolongs rebuilding that drives me nuts. That lies with both Aquilini and Benning.

I think it may have more to do on how the teams finishes. If this injury crisis kills the season, I would think the Sedins retire. Before Bo went down, I thought if the Canucks managed to get into a playoff spot, the Sedins would want to try another year.

For all the talk about the age gap, how many of the age gap guys that Benning acquired would actually be core players on playoff teams?

Sven? Is he a legit top 6 player on a playoff team? Granlund isn't even a top 6 player on a bottom feeder right now. Gudbranson might not even be a Canuck next year. Sutter isn't a top 6 player.

And by trading assets to cover the "age gap", he was talking away depth from the next "age gap".

It's these things that are annoying. Hopefully he's learning his lessons and looking back at his moves to adapt and adjust.

Nowhere near as bad as you'd think. Henrik is ahead of Alex Wennberg and daniel is one spot behind Leon D.

What is the defence suppose to look like in four or five years? How is Benning addressing this? Pouliot was a nice addition and there's Juolevi, but where's the push from below beyond those kids? I don't see anything!
- LeftCoaster

edler = retired
tanev = ufa
everyone else including prospects other than OJ are 5,6 or 7 dmen

hopefully we can sign some college ufas and unload everything not tied between now and the deadline and draft a boat load of dmen this year and next if we have to

It may already be happening where BB the rookie is now being counted on to spark Gagner. JV now looked on to making Burmi & Goldy click. Both got significant time with Sedins. Well that's development for you lol.
