Meh...It's all about Stanley. To see his cup you need to get into his playoffs. To do that you need a lot of things going right and development of your team. Having your talented players riddled with injuries is not one of them.

I believe in Travis the Blender Master to get this team back to Presidents Trophy form in no time. A couple of AHL call-ups and a shrewd waiver-wire snag and the most coveted trophy will be in the hands of the Canucks.

Sutter and DD were also getting big minutes in healthy line up. Same with Tanev. The vet group left is not suited for more time long term and their performance as you note points that out.

But are the secondary young guys ready to step up to do more now...? Not likely ripe in their development to take minutes away. Like the injured guys were able to, this season, from that elder statesmen group.
