I believe in Travis the Blender Master to get this team back to Presidents Trophy form in no time. A couple of AHL call-ups and a shrewd waiver-wire snag and the most coveted trophy will be in the hands of the Canucks. - Marwood
Benning is now looking for a 'top 6' forward rather than 'top 9'. |

I would like to apologize to all in here for calling a Canucks win. I completely forgot we were facing a backup goalie and a tired Flames club coming off back/back and we are a doormat for those situations... |

Even fully healthy this is still a bottom 10 hockey club...make no mistakes. - LordHumungous
No mistakes is one of the many things factored into the everything needs to go right. But mainly its development that was the loss here not ranking.
How far and to what degree the young core of Bo, BB, Sven... with assistance of hard effective workers like Sutter, DD, Tanev and Guddy... could push the pace and cultivate more from Granlund, JV and Goldy...we will never know...because that development has been derailed. |

Sutter and DD were also getting big minutes in healthy line up. Same with Tanev. The vet group left is not suited for more time long term and their performance as you note points that out.
But are the secondary young guys ready to step up to do more now...? Not likely ripe in their development to take minutes away. Like the injured guys were able to, this season, from that elder statesmen group. - Nuck4U
Sutter and DD had a job and were capable of doing it at game speed. Henrik and Daniel are slow and their jobs are scoring and do it irregularly.
Virtanen and Goldy are the youngest players with 150 games of AHL/NHL experience. They sure aren't 1st liners but they need to start showing if they can be more. |

Goldobin with Boucher and Chaput, our new 1st line, Virtanen with Granlund and Gaunce.
Burmistrov can sit. |

We literally have half our forwards belonging in the AHL and half our D belonging in the AHL right now. Dahlin is closer than we all think |

That should guarantee at least picking in the top 5. I'm okay with that because there are 6 guys atop the draft that are going to be good. |

What needs to happen for the team to stop getting injuried? Is the BC smog making these guys soft? |

I'd obviously prefer to get into the top 3 but this is a draft year where top 5 looks good once again |

If we finish bottom 5 often enough one of these years we'll win the lottery. |

I dont travel to vancouver often, is the smog actually bad there? We have some pretty clean air here on the island, too many eletric cars and hippy bikers |

Trust me on this, NOTHING comes easy for this team. That's why I always try to temper my expectations. |

After Dahlin, who I have as clear #1, there are like 8 players I would be thrilled too get.
As much as I like both Tanev and Gudbranson, we need to move at least one of them this season.
The draft is fairly deep, with some solid picks all the way into 3rd round. |

Funny most would say i'm on the pom pom side of things. Ok everyone would probably say.
But to start the year I had said this team is a .500 hockey club this season. Granted the tank after the TDL might put them below that.
I know this team is void of talent, I said we needed at least 2 elite forwards and better D before they compete again.
I am liking what TG is saying and how he handled the club, his execution of said plan sometimes makes me wonder. At some point, he has got to start showing emotion.
My 6
Dahlin
Svechnikov
Boqvist
Zadina
Tkachuk
Hughes
My next 6 are all interchangeable depending on who's drafting where. They are also in the next tier of players. |

No. For a large population base like Vancouver the smog is nearly non-existant. There really isn't all that much industry neither. |

If Boeser is out, 46 of #CanucksĀ 88 goals (52.2%) on season will be on the shelf
Boeser 17
Horvat 10
Baertschi 8
Dorsett 7
Tanev 2
Sutter 2
It's hard to believe Dorsett is still 4th on the Canucks in goal scoring and he's missed 13 games, something very wrong with that picture. |
