A smarter GM makes the call on Galchenyuk, he's the guy to target. |

Why on earth would the Blackhawks make that deal? How many Stanley Cups have they won with Crawford in goal? - MJL
2.
Do you know how many they've lost with Crawford in goal? 5.
Chicago would make that deal cause good GMs never pass up an opportunity to improve their active roster and chance to win the Stanley Cup.
I'm just not sure StaBo is a good GM... |

They also won a cup with Niemi, he could be the answer to Montreal's problems. |

Exactly, lol. Niemi has done a ton since he left Chicago...we simply don't have the horses anymore to compensate for average goaltending. |

Burn? I mean, it's not like there's much competition in this thread...just a bunch of homers offering scraps for superstars, lol.
I'm assuming you're another blind Crow-lover...despite the fact that he's never actually stolen a series for us in the playoffs and can't carry us out of Round 1. |

so which is it? if they win a Cup with him as the goalie, twice, he has nothing to do with it? or when they don't, its all his fault?
you can't pick both now. don't try to be coy here |

Really stupid - ghostofRC
It’s good for both teams EDM gets a superstar tendy who allows the forwards and D to jump up more, along with a replacment for Leon. MTL gets a solid goalie in Talbot, a great player young player in Leon, a 1st and a solid top 4 dman.. you sir are dumb. |

Kinda my point, Gramps...Niemi is nothing without Chicago rather than the other way around, which is my exact feeling about Crawford. |

I never picked both. Chicago won 2 Cups despite Crawford...cause we had enough firepower and depth on offense to overcome his ill-timed, weak goals allowed. In the absence of said talent, we have failed to exit Round 1 (in 4 seasons with Crow as our starter)...in fact, we would've lost in Round 1 against Nashville in 2015, if not for Darling swooping in to save the team.
I'd take Carey Price over Corey Crawford any day of the week...if somebody says otherwise, they're either lying or suffering from the worst case of homerism I've ever witnessed.
Stanley Cup rings do NOT determine one's talent level...just ask Chris Osgood, lol. |

As an Islander fan, I think the contract would be hard to swallow but with the cap going up and the new arena deal coming on Wednesday, He would be a nice piece to add to Tavares and company. So, we start with Halak, add Ryan Poluck, Brock Nelson, Cal Clutterbuck(salary dump) for Carey Price and Montreal's 1st rd draft pick. |

Oh, this cracks me up. So they haven't won the Cup in 5 seasons with Crawford as their goaltender. That's seriously the argument you're going to make?
You couldn't be more wrong. A good GM doesn't make that deal because he already has a goaltender capable of back stopping a team to the Cup.

You're absolutely, 100% wrong...it's all about success in the playoffs and "what have you done for me lately" in this league. Let's not forget StaBo recently dealt Panarin for Saad...cause he felt it would lead to deeper playoff runs.
Any GM worth his weight will ALWAYS improve at EVERY position given the opportunity.
Crawford has proven capable when the team was stacked, but now that Chicago has holes it's painfully obvious that he cannot carry this team. Price has proven time and again that he's able to put a team on his back, which might be just what we need right now.
People need to stop using the tired, "but he won a Cup 3 years ago" argument to justify not improving the roster, lol.
Price > Crawford. Period.
If you truly believe otherwise, please stop responding cause you're wasting my time... |
