Since my team doesn't need a goalie, I picked a contending team that needs a goalie, the New York Islanders, here is what I would offer for Price if I were them:
Montreal gets - Brock Nelson, Calvin DeHaan, Anders Lee, Jaro Halak, and a 1st round pick
Islanders get - Carey Price and Alex Galchenyuk
This would give Montreal 2 centers and a defenseman which they need, it would also get rid of Galchenyuk which they have been trying to do. It would give the Islanders a winger for Tavares and the top notch goalie that they really need without having to give up Barzal or Pulock. Plus the Islanders have 2 1st round picks next year so they will still have a 1st round pick after this trade. - maddog216
Hey genius they have a winger for Tavares his name is Anders Lee!!! |

I hate the Flyers but they may have what it takes:
To Montreal:
Sanheim-D
Lehtera-C
Hart-G
Elliot-G
1st or 2nd Round Pick in 2019 or 2020 or Scott Laughton (Montreal can choose)
1st Round Pick in 2018 (Montreal can choose either Philly or St. Louis' Pick)
To Phildaelphia:
Price-G - NJDevils29
Wow. If Hextall did this deal he should be dragged outside the Wells Fargo Center, hung by his ankles on the Ed Snider statue, and set on fire.

this was an interesting thread... I dont think I have EVER seen a disparity this great between the perceived value of a player by their fan base and every single other fan in the world. |

Meh. 30 games. He could slow down. Still a gamble for mtl in my opinion.
And why would I propose a trade where mtl gets Bozak? If they can't make a good deal, then keep Price. |

I would not trade for Price.
That is WAY too much money for a goaltender. Especially a 30 year old goaltender with almost 600 (Reg. Season and Playoff) games under his belt. |

Nope. Don't upgrade from that sieve that you currently have in goal. No way. Don't do it.

I'll be honest, Carey is becoming too injury prone to "fetch"what he would have a couple of years ago. Would I still trade for him, well, it depends on my goaltenders in the system now. The Flames have blue-chip prospects coming. I would give the following in order to see if we could make "the trade"
To Calgary
Price, Noah Juulsen, 5th Round pick 2020
To Montreal
Oliver Kylington, Spencer Foo, Mike Smith, John Gillies, 1st Round Pick 2019, Conditional 2nd Pick in 2020 (depends on payoff rounds won)

Carey Price
Career 2.42 GAA, .920 Sv%
This Season 3.00 GAA, .905 Sv%
Scott Darling
Career 2.43 GAA, .918 Sv%
This Season 2.64 GAA, .903 Sv%
Price is older and costs over twice as much. $5.9 million is a lot of money for a .2% upgrade. |

Your offer was complete and utter nonsense. Delusional fantasy. At least come up with something realistic. - SimmerDown17

If you somehow are hereby suggesting that Darling is as good as Price, then please see the doctor again. There must be something that can be done to get you off the morfine.
