Don't need a scale, why do we need Mrazek ? Lehner is just as good. He's making 4 mil as is Lehner and both may or may not get a raise. Why should we pay either one more money, both are average goalies.

The only big contract that should be on this team is Jack Eichel, we have no need to keep ROR, Okposo and any other player making big money. This team is rebuilding yet again and by the time this team is moving in the right direction these players will be useless with a big cap hit. Move them now, take the loss and move on.

I think you can figure out what goalies are " bums " and what are " talented." Mrazek is a average goalie that was on a good Wings team at the time and he got lucky due to Howard having an off year.

I'm guessing in scenario 1 we would receive picks/prospects for RoR.

We should trade some of our depth for some length and width.

If i were GM, i would say to anyone interested in Kane that they have to take Okposo, non-negotiable. I also believe we have the opportunity to retain salary on 2 players right now, so i would do something like:

Kane + Okposo (50%retained = $5.75) to St. Louis

for Jay Boumeester and a 3rd

Basically the Sabres get nothing out of it but cap relief for Okposo, but it's the most painless way to shed his salary without losing assets
