If MB really does think this team is good enough, I hope JB throws Vanek, EG- hell anyone over 25 at him to try and get picks and I would even say Galchenyuk.

I know everyone has a healthy man-crush on Boeser at this point, but is anyone else a little concerned that he took a shot off the ankle and left the game when he was fine?

Vanek has already had a tour of the Habs...he won't be back there.

Not concerned on Boeser at all. I doubt he was fine to continue the game he was injured and I'm sure he was numbed to play last night.

Not saying the refs are bad its just that the refs kinda have no power over disruptor because they just go over their heads and to another authority on here.

Thanks SRam, I have been posting less and less lately for my own specific reasons.

But I will say that there are times when our friend has some very valid points and some posts that I find engaging "at times", Nucker and him seem to have good exchanges. But I need to make a conscience effort not to get sucked in, because it "can" cause minor frustration and a feeling of apathy. As vintage states above just ignore the posts that are controversial and everything will be good.

I know I speak for WhiteLie and myself, but in the spirit of the season let's not get to absorbed in the situation and just engage with posters that don't cause frustration.

When you put it that way, ok, low threshold for pain?

but those shots can really hurt, and where ever it hits you can throb for awhile, go numb, whatever, you aren't going to be able to get around the ice or put much weight on it.

we don't know what the doctors were advising during the game.

I'm okay with some precautionary measures taken in a blowout not to see him rushed back.

I was wondering if players upgrade all their equipment when the make the NHL or do some wear the same gear they have played with for so long?

NHL players have full access to top end gear of all kinds for free. Whether they chose to wear it is another thing. A lot of it is a comfort thing. I don't think Boeser had the shot-blocking covers on his skates however. many players opt out of them as they feel funny and make the skates heavier.

Well put

Respond to those you want to and ignore the ones you dont. If a post gets your riled up, reconsider taking the bait and discuss something else with someone else

I remember seeing some guys with old thin shoulder pads that they must have used since their jr. days. which seems a bit crazy, but I guess there is superstition and comfort to consider.

as a club I'd think they would want to make those shot-blocking covers mandatory but I guess that would have to be in the cba.

and on yer trade rumour.
