They can lay dormant for a long time, so if he had fleas over the summer, they were probably still in your carpet, waiting...

I had a friend whose mom was a hoarder and her cats and dogs had fleas year round. I'm not saying you're a hoarder, but they can be resilient little bastards.

Sam has killed his own career here. He has shown some really good talent .

But . no determination that is needed to keep you above the younger players that want it more .

Who was the first and most ardent Sam hater? That would be me. People cry about the crap they take about what they say about players? I said Sam was a stiff and he wasn't even a Sabre yet and the whiners couldn't keep hold of themselves. That's ok, my manhood is still in tact but whiffing on him is a big reason why the rebuild has failed.

It's tough because his first two seasons were back to back 40 point seasons. Hard to say a total bust but his play now is terrible. He needs to be a healthy scratch for sure.

Admittedly I have watched very little of the Sabres this season. Afterall I have no reason to make myself feel sick to my stomach ..... But based on wins and losses, what else is there, this team absolutely sucks. Bringing in first year GM's and coaches is simply insane. It is time the Sabres hire a PROVEN GM and a PROVEN coach to right this ship. STOP THE DAMN EXPERIMENTING AND GET FRIGGING SERIOUS ABOUT FIXING THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A HOCKEY TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, just because something happened before an event, does not mean that was the cause of that event.

Are you suggesting we rebuild again? We are 30 games into the current rebuild after 3 seasons of the last rebuild and prior to that was the suffering.

Drafting and developing takes time. Darcy traded away everyone and left a sub-par team with picks. Tim Murray squandered those picks for prospects and players who do not play well together.

Its been 3 months under this regime.

Maybe getting serious about a rebuild should consist of letting someone rebuild it. Not changing direction every year.

I watched the first, second and half the 3rd. I thought girgs and larsson looked good too. There was one play where Larsson flew through the neutral zone to my surprise. Still, none of them can score, so it's really a moot point.

None show any creativity or finishing ability. Girgs gets the puck in the low slot, and instead of making a little move to get a clear lane, he slings a backhander off a stick into the netting.

Honestly, I thought the whole team played pretty well, though. The guy you sarcastically call superstar was definitely frustrated. with 6 mins left in the 3rd, he decided he needed to do it himself.
