Think of it this way. You have 2 minutes to carry a heavy-ish box up a flight of stairs then come down, get another box and repeat. You have 2 chances at it, the first chance you're told to run up and down the stairs without the box as fast as you can for one minute and then immediately are told to carry the box. The second you just do the box. Which one do you think you'd perform better at? Obviously the one where you're fresh.

It's the same principle if you just worked your ass off for 45 seconds in your DZone and then 90 seconds later you're asked to play offense. You're going to be more tired than if you hadn't played defense prior. Over the course of a season you'd see a big difference.

That looked like a pretty damn good shot though. Wish he could've gotten it, but every now and again you get beat.
