You always say that our young guys belong in the AHL and that’s fine but I’m curious how you propose we accomplish this? They are here because we lack depth and we lack depth because our team sucks. Were you in favour of the Vanek type signings in the summer? I can’t remember I’m just curious. The team took a lot of heat for their UFA signings but we clearly need more of them if some of our fringe young players can stay in Utica.

Yes, as I stated earlier and in past blogs I am all in favour of one year terms while prospects develop. There were a lot of individuals that were quite vocal about the Vanek signing, me personally I applaud that tactic more so than, Goldobin, Chaput, Megna, Burmistrov, Gaunce, and Dowd. Although Dowd is newer and I am glad to see what he can bring skill wise.

Same goes for the defense, Biega, Stecher, Hutton all could have used a year or two on the Comets, Biega is up by necessity and will be the first to head back, but he is getting better development in Utica, and it has shown on this last call up.

So how is this factual? When is this last call up for better development in Utica if Biega has been on the Canuck roster for the past 2 seasons.

Saw Danny Gatton play at The Town Pump. It was awesome!!
Plays his guitar through a Leslie speaker usually used for a Hammond organ.
Died a year or 2 later.
