If you like horns check out Daptone Records out of Brooklyn. They feature full instrumental funk with the Budos Band, blues & soul from Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, afro-funk from the Antibalis Afro-Beat Orchestra and a few other killer artists like the Menahen Street Band.

St. Paul and the Broken Bones are also a contemporary old school soul band with horn section.

JJGrey & Mofro also added a sax & trumpet player to their band. Swamp blues & soul.
