Couple headlines from the past 24 hours:
Paterson: Canucks structure, defence, and goaltending are breaking down
Goaltending, structure under the microscope as Canucks struggle
Kuzma: Canucks system is not the solution but the problem
The media is coming after the coach already |

We have 10 players that should be in the AHL and they are blaming the coach?? - LordHumungous
I guess they are going after him for not adapting. One suggested that, with so many key injuries, they play more conservatively. It makes some sense, but it only means giving up 3-4 goals instead of 5-7 and probably scoring less |

Thing is we just don't have the experience or talent level to play conservatively enough to close out low scoring games and win. Sure we could play boring Minnesota-NJ trap hockey and try to keep games at 2-2 or so but ultimately our D and current goaltending isn't just good enough to make those intangibles happen.
Still need WAY more depth to play through apparent injuries...we don't have it yet. |

So the media wants more Chaput and Megna and less Virtanen, Goldobin and Boucher |

I think it was pretty obvious last season the results of playing conservative. They were very boring games, but usually kept the team within a goal and rarely good enough to win
If winning is important, I'd agree you need to trap and scrap out as many wins as you can. If development is the important part, then you play the way you want them to eventually play and work through it; which is what I hope they are thinking |

I'm not feeling well, laying on the couch with the fire place going full blast, bought a 1/2 cord of fir and it burns so much longer than Cedar. - LeftCoaster
Nice, we've got some dead fall old growth fir that burns for a long time. Nothing compared to a seasoned hunk of Arbutus though, that stuff burns forever.
Hope you feel better soon and keep up with the awesome posts. |

I think the media and a few others have it wrong. I would hope like hell the media doesn't want more of any of those listed above with the exception of Virtanen.
Green isn't the issue (for now), the club needed more one year deal players while those above learned their craft in the AHL. (Notice i didn't use the "D" word...you're welcome) |

teaching kids the "dine and dash" is community development as well.

kidding: nice to see stuff like that (canucks still shouldn't sign him though) |

These two morons don’t know a goddamn thing about structure and systems. greens issue is he is dealing with 40% of an NHL roster. Province (frank)ing goofs |

we need to set up a boxing ring at david lam park and just have you fight everyone.
last man standing gets signed as the enforcer for the rest of the season.
if bloated wins, the canucks will allow him to have lattes in his water bottle on the bench. cappucinos are forbidden. too euro even for the canucks. |

I don’t like Cappuccinos and prefer lattes but I won’t order a latte because I don’t like saying latte in public. Sadly, I am sometimes forced to order a cappuccino. I suspect Bloated doesn’t have this problem. |

Woah Don... ease up a little bit buddy, we've already established that this is a full roster of NHL quality players. No need to re open that can of worms. |
