Yep, he is in way over his head... the Sabres are in real trouble going forward....

Was told after Bogo's fight the other night, it was like a morgue on the bench and in the room, fight got nobody fired up. Davis Payne and my uncle's friend on the team were yelling at the players after the fight to try and pump them up and it did not a damn thing.

Collectively this team has no pulse, seems to lack heart.
Individually some show emotion.
It’s pretty apparent they need a transfusion.

If JBotts decides he needs to move money out and do a reset on the rebuild, suggesting several more years in doing so and therefore presumptively stinking along the way, then if I were him I would seriously look to move both Kane and ROR to once again load up on picks and prospects as they will bring in the biggest haul.
Part of the goal is trying to get the timeline right for when they emerge from the abyss with a large core of guys who will play together for 5-7 years in their prime years.

Along the way, finding guys with that burning desire to win and improve would be a priority in my mind.

Last time they hired a rah rah coach in nolan. He almost single handedly ruined the tank by being himself. A great motivator.

Well, maybe the sabres learned to few things:

Get a unassuming former sabre to help sell tickets.
Find a guy that doesn't motivate your team out of the bottom.

The two top consensus coaching candidates in the offseason were Housley and Rick Tocchet. Neither are panning out to greatly at the moment. I still think Housley was hired a couple years too early, but I think the real problem is that we underestimated how weak this roster really is.
