How do you know how many terrible draft choices he made? He had a fair amount of hits in Ottawa now that enough time has lapsed to evaluate. - Hatboro_Swords
I liked his last draft here other than nylander
that's about it

I would say 2 seconds. Then I see a middle finger up in the air outside the window gunning it
I think I might have some kind of La smell now haha everytime I come here now I get grunts , rolling eyes , will you move etc - GERBE!!!75PTS
2 seconds is a very long time to honk your horn. That's in the "lay on the horn" zone. You're lucky you didn't get shot for laying on the horn for 2 seconds. |

The Evander Kane trade is maybe the biggest misstep Tim Murray made as GM.
Kane is a good player, who will be leaving town, after playing 0 important games as a Buffalo Sabre. We will get futures in return, and those futures will take 2-3 years to develop. All while moving the same type of futures 3 years ago for Kane. It makes 0 sense.
Not to mention saddling us with Bogosian, who’s isn’t close to as good as the D man we swapped him with.
Think about this- He identified Josh Gorges, Zach Bogosian, and Dimitry Kulikov, as guys he actually wanted to give up assets for to play defense for this team. Take a step back think about that. - sbroads24
That hindsight sure is beautiful, eh?
Kulikov is actually having a solid year. He's already got almost twice the points, 9 to 5, he had here last year in 14 less games in 4:30 less ATOI.
poopty situation that he got (frank)ed up by a broken door in the preseason. Just one of those unforeseen things that happen, but that doesn't mean you don't do anything.

The first 45 minutes of The Room was the biggest piece of poop I had ever seen, and I kept meaning to turn it off and then all of a sudden I realized it was over. And then knowing part of the story I had to see the movie about Tommy the "All American" guy from New Orleans who doesn't even know how to hold a football. |

I'd say that the BOGO trade was pretty bad at the time too.... EK, not sure. He is a helluva player and should get you a roster player in return. |

So, the Pens are ramping up on trading Cole sooner than later. I personally believe that he was a Botts pickup. The Pens, especially Gonchar, are raving over the big D they got from Dallas. Gonch played with him so maybe he sees things he can fix..... Anyway, the Pens asking price for Cole was a top 9 forward. They're willing to add to Cole now. You guys see a trade where Reinhart and Cole swap? |

Bogo has the talent, not even a moron would give an untalented player in excess of $5M a year. He's hurt too often, and makes more boneheaded plays than a guy like him should make, but play him 16-17 minutes of almost exclusively offensive hockey and I think you've got yourself a good player. Not $5M good, but even the best teams have a few horrible contracts. But because he likes to hit people and fight coaches are tricked into thinking he's a defensive guy when he is anything but. He's more in the mold of Kulikov with higher offensive upside.
Murray tried to build the Kings East. It didn't work.
As soon as Kane walks out the door we're looking for a 25 goal LW.
He is on crack if he thinks he can get $7M. $7M would make him the 5th highest paid LW and 10th highest paid Winger in general in the NHL. I really like the guy, but he is not the cream of the crop. Marchand just signed this year for $6.125M and he had 39 goals last year. I would go to $6.5M to keep him here with the cap likely rising and with another expansion team in 2 years it'll go up a good amount again. $6.5M won't be terrible. |

Cole is like not good. I want no part of him. He'll be 30 for half of next season. He's a pending UFA. 5th round pick is as high as I'd go.
He had a good season and playoffs last year. That's the only reason his "price" is anywhere near that high. Ville Leino had an amazing playoff run, and look at that (frank)in guy. |

I agree about Kane's price tag. 6.25/6.5 I think is reasonable... Pushing it, but reasonable. I still don't like the Bogosian deal. I never really liked him much as a player. |

Kane was a thing of beauty. Getting rid of roster players for a young buck with a high ceiling who couldn’t play til the following season at the bottom of the tank. Should be playing meaningful games by now.
Gorges, meh, what was that 2014? Bogo was part of the deal and Kuli turned out to be a disinterested worthless player. Contrary to popular belief, I thought Pysyk was one of the biggest pussies to ever wear a Sabres jersey.
15/16 looked like the team was right on track. 16/17 injuries f’d them out of the gate, female doging between coach and players commenced, the team lost their way and the GM forced to fall on the sword, despite SOP in sports management. New guy comes in with new coach and things are worse. Sabres better off now. - Hatboro_Swords
Well, you're entire argument is complete nonsense. We haven't looked on track in a LONG time. Even if Murray entertained you during interviews, not only did he completely undervalue the players and picks throughout his tenure. He completely dismantled the organizations management. Quality players running around with no compass.
At first that was his job, but he didn't have the ability to climb out of the hole he dug.
-Nothing in the ECHL
-Had no respect or desire to build up Rochester
-He brought players with bad reputations
-Pysyk was our best defenseman who could make that first transition pass out of the zone. Any player you see doing that now?
Dude was a booze bag beUty of a scout. Provably fun to have a beer with, but no way any competent organization hires him for a position like that again.
