He kept his man to the outside, which was his job on that play.

Yeah. Oesterle was in front of the net. Being a spectator.

IF they play the Sabers, Yotes all year we are fine. Once we play against the better teams you get this and the 4-0 game against Dallas. 90 point team maybe without significant changes.

And 3 goals given up on 9 shots. Not to mention the totally unprepared to play tonight like Dallas. WTF

Watch the replay. He literally coasts back to the front of the net when he needed to get back hard and pick up the Devil player who scored the goal.

Frankly, as constituted, this team will be lucky to end with 90 points.
Some guys here got all damp and excited when they beat Arizona and buffalo. But when they play a GOOD young quick team, the holes on this team are exposed.

Nice effort Keith. Bowman needs to sell assets for futures bc 19 and 2 don't give a (frank) anymore. Just out there collecting a paycheck and going through the motions.

I agree with your assesment on Toews and Keith. I would trade Toews ( if possible), before the year end even if the Hawks have to keep 3 million. I would also trade Keith ..he should be worth a second rounder. IMO, both seem to be disinterested... Not good coming from your Captain and his Assistant

Why should he rush back and cover the guy who 82 should tied up? That was 82's man 100%.

There were 3 devils down low is why he needed to hustle back and pickup a Devil. Osterle is trying to stop the back door play with one Devil at the far post. "Why should I rush back?" Is exactly the thought that #2 had. Whatever dude, agree to disagree on the play, but they just showed it in the intermission report and you saying Keith played that well, I just don't agree. Even if you wanna excuse his coasting back to the slot, he got beat up high to start the whole play.

My overall point here is that this "Leadership Group" is leading the way with complacency, mistakes, and overall poor play.

I have no friggin idea what is up with 19. Total shell of who he was. Good at the dot and thats about it now. Gets dominated way too easy and cannot remember the last time he came out of the the corner with the puck and made a power move to the net.
Oh well. 10 million a year. Hot woman at home. Life is good.

And Enzo??? There is no leadership right now. If there is, its lost in whatever disconnect there is with the team and Q.

If their performance were even close to the level of their salaries, this team would still be very good with the talented young guys in Schmaltz, Forsling, and Debrincat.

Let's put 50 in as first line center. It couldn't hurt.

Lets do a line of Hino, Kampf and Laurent. Let them show what effort is. The hardest working guy on this team right now is 17. Lance (who?) Bouma.

Bouma was hounding his man back on the other side. There is no reason Oesterle should have left his guy all that space. I just can't see the blame on Keith when #57 and #82 were brutal on the play.

The trade deadline can't come soon enough.

Time to dump the contracts you can.

I Love DK, Great career. He would be the first guy I try to move. A Cup contender easily takes him. Hawks cant live in the past. Must be prepared for the rebuild. Its here sooner then we think.

You are correct but he loses credibility when he says they just gave to get one and then a power play and then they are back in the game. They need the power play, yes. But I think they will need about 20 this game to get their recent average of 1 in 20.

Hawks pushing back at least. Schmaltz with the great pass to 15 in front. Toews to Saad, guys crashing the net. They need to keep that up and go to the crease with the puck.
