More like he sucks, everyone knows he sucks, and rather than spend the rest of his career being a replacement level NHL talent, he's going to be a star in the KHL and get paid like one. Plus if he can prove he's clean, he can still play for Team Olympics from Russia. - DariusKnight

On a positive note Burmistrov's 720,000 USD off the books - VanHockeyGuy
Capfriendly has him at 900000 k. Even better to free up the space.

Plans for today? Last minute shopping? Dinner out or maybe a home made thin crust pizza? Beer, wine or mixed drinks? Schlockey movies? Games? Extended family or just the few of you? Traditional visit to friend’s open house or just stay home?
I’m working, it’s one of the 5 busiest days of the year. Will be mixing up a big batch of eggnog and spiced whiskey for after, hopefully we don’t get too much snow today.
Cheers, see you all on the other side of the break. |

Apparently they can lose just as easily with or without him in the lineup. |

Center depth is poor, he's better than Dowd. No big deal though. |

Burmistrov agent Dan Milstein tells me, "He wanted to go back home. No other reason. The #Canucks were more than accommodating to his request." - VanHockeyGuy
They probably told him he's going to Utica when Sutter comes back. |

When Burmistrov is officially off the books, #Canucks will see their total number of NHL contracts sit at 45. Club has a bit more wiggle room now to sign former draft picks or pending Major Jr./College free agents before season ends.

Finished shopping yesterday. Spent more than I should have but planned out the purchases far in advance for once, which was an incredible stress preventer.
Nursing a bit of a bug the last few days. Will be resting and relaxing as much as possible before my entire family gets here tomorrow around 3 o'clock.
Every year My family watches NL's Christmas Vacation on Christmas eve. Beverage wise water and tea for myself. Dad, sis and sis' bf are Deli Caesers (Family Recipe), or wine.
Get to some prep work a little later in the day for tomorrows usual Turkey and ham. And all the side dishes. Peel Potatoes, Carrots, Turnips. Blah Blah Blah.
And then enjoy tomorow with My 14 family members who are coming over and spending the evening with us.
Cheers bud. Enjoy the ones you love |

Would love to see them acquire a C that has the ability to become a difference maker. |

Just another whiny Russian. I really hate saying that. But it aint stigma anymore.
This season is shot anyway. He was not even close to becoming an important piece to the puzzle with this club.
Its not a loss, Opens up a spot for a younger forward and Bobs your uncle.

Marchessault is unrestricted at the end of the season. Not sure what the guys worth but I think would be worth a look. 26 years old. |
