It's my fault, I said EK suggested the Leafs would like to get their hands on them and all of a sudden it came across like I was saying they should.

I simply said that they'd be a scary good team if they could make that happen.

They probably would. Luckily for everyone, Ek's success rate is fairly low (to put it mildly)

you can't see the forest for the trees but you hang onto that thought because I know you think it gives you something to hang your hat on.

The truth of the matter is they had two first round picks when they traded one for Andersen and they also had the very next pick after the 31st pick which they traded for him.

Not to mention they felt they were ready to compete after rebuilding for a few years.

The same spin again. Why are you telling me who they traded a 1st and two 2nd for? We all know who. Who's hanging their hat?

The Leaf's either don't trade those picks away or they do. You shift from not trading away those picks to claiming they are good trades every time. How do you show us the trees when you spin so hard? I think you just speak before you think when stories like the Sullivan take down piece come out. Not once did you ever admit you were mistaken when repeating that false narrative. You shifted to the concept of the trades. This is why I called it blind envy. Quick to repeat criticisms before rationalising their accuracy.

Who implied this? I see no one.

Well obviously they'd have to make more moves, however, I wasn't advocating they do it, I merely suggested EK put it out there that they'd like to get their hands on them. As most teams quite understandably would.

I thought all along we were talikng hypotheticals since the topic is a EK rumour.

With that being said, even in a hypothetical discussion on trades, you have to keep the cap space rational or there is nothing to talk about.

If Tryamkin, McCann, Ehlers and Forsling were here, people would be a lot more excited than they are now with just Boeser. They could see a plan, a vision, a path forward in what's is fast becoming a young man's game.
- LeftCoaster

Can't really pin the misguided plan going forward...we all know that's aquamans meddling that's screwed us the last number of years. I highly doubt Benning thought forsling for clenddening was a good move...he had to appease the overlords.

Tryamkin was a kick in the nuts.

I don't care about McCann or Forsling

Ehlers was never ours.

Why do I get the sense that you only call them "good kids" because they are not Canucks anymore? I doubt you'd be that impressed with the very same kids if they were still Canucks.
- boonerbuck

Thats a very simplistic retort & true 😂😂
