As much as I enjoy the nfl, fantasy football and the bills. It's getting old.

The replays, overturned calls and delays suck the life out of the sport.
The fighting and injuries are a complete turn off.

What Pegula is doing with USA Hockey and the Combine is nice. In fact, it's awesome. but the advantage is gives the Sabres over the rest of the league is minimal, if not non-existent.

The future of the sabres gets a boost from introducing the young talent to wny and the facalities. I'm guessing many of the young players will be wowed by the harbor center, weight and training room as well as the locker rooms.
Maybe all the nhl teams have nice stuff, but some kid from chek republic has no idea.

I though at the combine we were able to take advantage of the offices for additional interviews ect.? Maybe I'm wrong

I was in montreal a few years ago when the world juniors were there and met some of the guys from the slovakian team. They all spoke very highly of the sabres and that's even during the tank era.

That's a good point, but not all of these guys will be drafted. Free agents now no where buffalo is and what we are about.

I remember Thurman thinking it was cool that he could go to the Knicks games when he was drafted. He had no idea where buffalo was in ny.

I did sell the tix. 1st 3 for $250 next 2 for $184 then the last 3 for 189. I was happy to get rid of them. I got worried on christmas eve and hit the panic button a bit. All on stubhub. Lost an average of $10 or so each. Any luck with yours?

Speaking of Buffalo, whoever did the scheduling for the World Juniors dropped the ball as far as USA Hockey is concerned. The outdoor game is Friday. Canada plays Slovakia tomorrow, and has off Thursday. The US is off tomorrow and plays Slovaka Thursday night. They should have reversed that. Canada has an extra day to practice on the outdoor rink and get used to the surroundings. I'm not sure how much of a big deal that might make, but I would think Canada has at least a little bit of an advantage there. If I am USA Hockey, I would want my team to have that schedule.
