I think it’s hilarious how the pack mentality decides to focus on certain players.

Last nights game was not lost by ROR, or Lenner, or Scandella.

Nolan Kane and Sam all had beauties and time, and all three of them choked. Well, no, Nolan didn’t choke, he just SUCKS. (I wasn’t sure he was going to even successfully carry the puck into the O-zone on his breakaway.)

We need to score more goals. That’s the beginning and the end.

The more I think about it this game was such an absolutely horrible idea. It's not like the NHL where the league can schedule a few days off after to recover. The kids are in the middle of a grueling tournament and will have to play in single digit windchills and then resume a grueling tournament. Both teams will be at a disadvantage until the end.

A. Monday we were on the 2nd game of back to backs, where we had to travel. Last night we came off 4 days rest

B. You're correct. They don't lose us games, they just rarely if ever are the reason we win games.

Kane and Eichel have been the biggest reason we have the small amount of wins we do.

you need winners to be a decent hockey team, and more often then not, ror is anything but a difference maker


it's a cap era, if there was no cap, and no budget restraints, this may not be an issue as he could be slid down to the 3rd line but.....


When you are 10 percent of the teams total cap, you need to be special, not just a face off specialist

There is no denying they are a different team with him on the ice than when he is not. You can’t attribute the total difference in “looks” between those two games to rest/back-to-back, nor can you attribute it all to ROR. But there is no denying he makes a difference.
The question in my mind is the value paid for that difference. Is he delivering $7.5m? Not.
Like Kane, one must consider what the value to the club will be in trading him away.

He does, but it isn't a big one, and we have had him out of the lineup for games at a time and we were relatively the same team.

He's paid and played like a franchise player. He isn't, nor is he close to one.

Agree on this.
Sabres have too many players getting paid 1st line (pairing) rates while producing like 3rd liners (pairings)
-ROR (one could argue he is producing at a 2nd line rate)
-Okposo
-Pommer
-Bogo
-Risto (like ROR, performing as 2nd pairing)

Doesn’t mean they suck, it means they are over paid.

It's a nothing move, both players aren't very good. One may be cheaper then the other is all.
