point taken, but without him you'll be throwing a player like Mittelstadt into the fire...he probably won't be ready for at least another year...if you move o'reilly, you have what we saw against Carolina and it was pretty ugly - Michael Pachla
I could see Mittlestadt making the jump next year. Boeser had 34 pts in 32 games last year at North Dakota. Similar size. Similar age. Look what he’s doing this year. Clayton Keller is another kid who jumped right in. I could see the same from Middlestadt. I don’t see him as a kid who’s intimidated by the spotlight...but seems to thrive on it. He’s got grit and grind as well. Different from Nylander in that regard.

I agree with you Pach. I am in the "keep ROR" club for at least one more year. Or until somebody else on this team can learn to win a face-off, including Jack.
Regarding the line-up for tonight, I would:
1) move Girgs off the 1st. Put Kane up there.
2) move Girgs down to #2 or #3
3) put Antipin in. Let's see what he has. Sit one of Beaulieu or Falk
4) put Wilson in and let Nolan sit.
I assume they aren't bringing CJ Smith up because they want keep the momentum in Rochester. However, if I was him, i would be choked. The guy at least deserves a serious chance for what he has done with the Americans this year.

yeah, he could...
boeser spent two years in college, though...saw Mittelstadt a few times live this year and he has his struggles, plus his stamina seemed to be an issue, at least early on...
just don't want to rush these kids...
ror is not a bad second-line, two-way center...although he's not played all that well this year, of the bad contracts, he'd be the absolute last to move and I don't even think, when all's said and done the next couple of years, that his contract will be all that bad

I doubt we see another call up for a while unless a trade happens and/or injuries hit them hard...
I know y'all will be scratching your head about this, but I like gus up with Eichel...for now
Girgensons on the first line just makes me laugh as does Larson being here at all. - SABRES 89
only larsson can be good enough to be your second line center when one of your saviors has a kid out of wedlock (misses a game) and then dumped to a 4th line wing for the next game

If we don't want to have the Bogo or Miller conversation in another year, you stay away from Letang. He's half way to retiring and makes way to much money.

agreed
even if the pens ate 2 mil per
5 more years of 5.5 is a bad investment
just throw 11 mil at one of the big 3 next summer (oel, doughty, karlsson)

This is why the next CBA needs restructured contracts or more amnesty buyouts. The guy would be a nice pick up on a year or two long contract, but my bet is, he ends up retiring in 3 years, maybe less
