Bust 2nd 4th & FLA still sucks in the weakest division. Yes not much. |

Yes Flyers defense has been terrible for years and so has goaltending.
Was pointing out the indescrepancies in Lefty's argument about what Flyers are doing.
On one hand you build around your core players and have a "no brainer signing of Voracek long term contract, then, change course and start rebuilding. - Reubenkincade
Flyers have never been in a traditional rebuild mode while Hextall has been their GM. He's never built around their core players. He's tried to concentrate on their defense, building it through the draft, while trying to maximize picks and build their prospect pool while still trying to compete.
Voracek is one of the best players in the league signed to a good deal, he's tradeable for a boatload. Why would you not re-sign him? |

"Chapters include Claude Julien with Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final against the Canucks" - 'Well, at the time the refs just weren't calling anything against the Canucks. I mean, I said to Marchand, 'hey, just go bobble-head Dank for a bit and see what the ref does." Sure enough, off-setting penalties. I mean it was awesome. Thomas could body check Daniel Sedin in a clear interference call. Raymond could get his back broken for just a penalty. Just a super duper fair series, officiated totally without preference in an end result that was so completely well deserved by the absolute pr*ck winner of the decade. |

2nd that motion for the right deal - Nighthawk
That could be a contender giving up a 1st. If so would hope the Canucks could grab Center Jack McBain. Big Center that plays complete game with good pedigree.
That would go well with wherever their lotto pick winds up. But with a 1/17 chance of winning Dahlin I believe JB has eyes on RSD he covets.
Top of that list should be Noah Dobson and Evan Bouchard who OJ partnered with. Not only are they QB PP capable but great all around D men. The inside scoop on them is they are high IQ smooth skating, skilled and strong #1D players. |

Draft all dmen in the first 3 rounds with every pick unless someone crazy good is left on the board. Our defense is terrible.
Edit.. I dont care if we end up with 7 or 8 picks in the first 3 rounds.. take all dmen.
worry about holes the next season. |

Not sure what your definition of that is, but, I would say the Flyers are more "rebuilding on the fly".
Not sure how many teams will be able to take on a Voracek sized contract for this supposed boatload you refer to, more like the Flyers will likely have to give up a boatload to a team , to take on his contract, down the road as their retool is still going to take a bit.
I like some of what they have done, draftwise, just think they have wasted 3 core players prime years by not building around them, that is on Hextall. |

I don't know man, I'd rather a lotto protected 1st and a 3rd them the 2 seconds.

There is buyers remorse for Gudbranson. I don't hate him... wanted to love him. Like what I see in flashes but he's been so injured.
