Bergevin has a very controlling owner who gave him the push to trade Subban. So not all on MB.
The Drouin trade on the other hand is nitnlooking amazing.
Bergevin is on a short leash it seems like though.
MTL is in trouble and the pitch forks are starting to come out. - Justin Lowe
And of course Subban ended up in the Central Division I think we've all heard rumors about off-ice rifts between Subban and other leaders like Paccioretty in MTL so getting a guy like Weber, OK fine. But how do you trade PK Subban one summer, then trade an NHL ready 19 year old 6'3" 215 two-way defense-man for a one-dimensional scoring winger with attitude problems???? |

Just curious, would you rather have Teravainen or Drouin? IIRC, that was a rumored trade between the Hawks and Lightning a few seasons ago.
And are the Lightning fans booing Drouin whenever he's on the ice? Imagine he's not well liked there anymore. - AEL_Fox
I think Schmaltz has proven to have as much offensive upside as either of those guys, with a bit more size, defensive accumen, and the ability to play center or wing. I'd rather have Schmaltz than either of those guys, but I'd like Sergachev over all 3, especially given the decline of 2+7. |

I'm with you: if given a choice of two from Drouin, Teravainen, Sergachev, and Schmaltz, I'd take the latter two as well.
Easier to say that now than say a few years ago when Drouin was probably the marquee prospect that other teams coveted. |

I don’t know the only player on our team with more points than Teravainen this year is Kane. |

Watching Bruins and Caps. Boston looks good, alot of good young players. They made a comment in the pre game that the Bergevin , Marchand, Pasternak, line has had ZERO goals against them when 5 vs 5 all year. That is amazing, I think it could be the best line in hockey. I know we hated him as a Blue but I like Backus as a Bruin, playing well for them . |

Sharp is done. Why is Q playing him? Hino has electric speed and his hands are improving. Put Hino on the wing and turn him loose. Time for Sharp to retire and go play golf. |

Alright guys time to get back on track.
This team was really starting to click up until those last 2 games, i think we can regain our form and prove those to be fluke losses. A lot has to go our way, but its possible and tonight is a good starting point against a very beatable team.

The only thing I can think of is he thinks Sharp will at least stand in the right spot.

You want to trade Bouma and Wingels, the only two guys who bring it every night? I don't know what quality of prospects or picks you're going to get at the TDL for a couple of grinders. Not sure if either of those guys are over 30, but I think that their effort should be rewarded with another season here showing the kids how to work. - Dieselhead
Totally agree. These guys are cheap and are not the problem. Getting rid of them solves and accomplishes nothing. |
