Buy out, let's face it they need more than 1 or 2 players, which will take more than a year or two. - BetweenTheDots
Why do you assume there will be a buy-out provision if the CBA is reopened?
There was one last time because the knew the cap was going to go down by $6MM or whatever. |

Why can’t Toews complete simple stick handling moves anymore? So tired of Keith’s half slapper shots and passes. If Patrick Kane cant handle your slap pass maybe don’t make it. |

Toews looks emaciated. I don't think he can even stay on the quarter rides outside of Toys R Us. |

I think McJeebus is going to destroy this team by himself tomorrow night if they play like this. |

Boeser from his belly beats Seabrook to the puck and passes it right past him for the 4th goal against. Hawks schooled by Sam freakin Gagner and Thomas freakin Vanek dear lord how far and how fast the once mighty Hawks have fallen. |

Pathetic. It's very obvious that this team just isn't any good....roleplayers can't carry overpaid, overaged, overweight, overused high salaried stars. You got your money boys, enjoy it...T-times coming soon for this team. What a (frank)ing joke this performance was. |

History says so, buy outs were allowed both times CBA was negotiated. I like your optimism but who's to say the salary cap will be going up the next time they negotiate |

Realistically selling any moveable veteran contract (minus Kane don't you (frank)ing dare Bowman!) is the best action plan. Keith, Seabrook, Anisimov, and Toews all available. |

not enough pace to our game....
In the end, not enough everything. Worst this team has looked since 2007. Playoffs are pipedream for this bunch. |

With the owners looking for a $650MM bonus from Seattle interests, I’m guessing (ok, maybe more hoping than guessing) that there won’t be a lock-out coming up. |

My. Oh , My...How low can the Hawks go ? What a terrible gutless performance by the Hawks. I think Q has lost his tribe. His days as a Hawk coach might come to end sooner than later! |

Keith and AA would be valuable on some level.
NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is gonna want a 10.5 million dollar third line center and a D-man who should be retired.
If you moved Keith you could get a nice haul. I think the Hawks need to think about it, though he's NOT the problem. 19 and 7 are the issue |

And the players seeing that kind of money won't want to renegotiate? |

Hopefully both can be put on LTIR. After 2 straight seasons of major regression culminating in the biggest regression this year, I don't know if Toews will ever be more than a shell of his former self. Can we have trade-backs on Panarin? Half kidding, but Saad is an enigma as well. Panarin on pace for almost 80 points, Saad only 40. I loved that trade when it went down, but Saad is busting thus far.[img][/img] |
