= Time For A New Head Coach - z1990z
And 4 or 5 new players. New coach won't fix this. |

Idk what happened to his speed and puck possession. He didn’t have the best hands/shot but he can’t seem to do anything with the puck. He looked bad during his brief stint with Kane this year too. - bhawks2241
I’m telling you it’s the Toews curse everyone who plays with him turns to crap. |

Troy Murray called this a "must win game" tonight...
...and the Hawks brought nothing to the rink.
This season is pretty much done, and worst of all...
...they're not even entertaining. |

Problem is the guys we need to move cant be moved. 19? 7? Awful contracts to go with declining players. Easier to to try a new HC who will light a legit fire under some of these guys. |

Keith and AA would be valuable on some level.
NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is gonna want a 10.5 million dollar third line center and a D-man who should be retired.
If you moved Keith you could get a nice haul. I think the Hawks need to think about it, though he's NOT the problem. 19 and 7 are the issue - kwolf68
If you’re going to blow it up you have to move Keith this year or this summer. His value is going to start to slide. He will probably be a solid top pair guy for 2-3 more years. |

Yup. Team is a miserable (frank)ing joke at this point. I am down for any trades....new coach, new everything. This team is light years behind teams like Nashville.... |

And the players seeing that kind of money won't want to renegotiate? - BetweenTheDots
Even Fehr know the players would never directly share in that money.
They’ll ask for stuff and the owners would likely be in more of a mood to give in than they usually are. |

Agree. Keith can get you a couple top prospects and a #1. I'd start there. AA, if healthy, should get your top prospect or two good specs.
I'd say trade Seabs and Toews, but takers for 19 and 7 will be non-existent. I'd shop them, but expect absolutely nothing and it would probably cost to get rid of either. |

Yes and it's pretty clear to me that Chemistry and energy from the locker room is not there. Toews leading by example with poor execution and even worse enthusiasm. |

It was a terrific run, but the proverbial "window" is closed.
Good luck to the organization finding a way out of cap hell in the next 5 to 8 years.
Shocking amount of dead money that no club will ever want. |

AA is good for 10-20 missed games a year. AA+Seabs package deal lol

Is that on the coaches or players? Vanek has been making a living around the net for years.
Can probably answer my own question. Still waiting for Q to bench Murphy for laying a big hit.
Wouldn’t be surprised if you really start to see some on ice frustration from Kane. He continues to elevate his game and aside from Crawford the core’s effort and skill sets have declined in a big way.

Yep. Will never know if Bowman can build a team because of the butt ugly deals he gave to 7 and 19. At least 88 is earning his money. Dude scores points no matter who is out there. At this point 19 and 7 neither look like they should even be on the ice. Toews as a #1 center is a crock...Seabrook, LOVE the dude, is absolutely washed up. |

I would say that a mediocre club lost to a bad club on the road.
Tomorrow will be worse. |

For all the cool aid drinkers earlier in the season who kept saying let’s wait to see were this team is after xmas, do we now wait and see where they are at the trade deadline?
This team is going no where and fast, awful hockey to watch.
At this point where do you even start to change this team.

Yep...AA is also a horribly streaky player. Time to move him as this team has no shot to compete this year. Try to rebuild with younger, faster players. Players like Connor Murphy is showing signs. I do kinda like him....Kane and maybe Wingels and Hayden are also earning their pay. |

I know Kane/Schmaltz connected for a PP goal, but that line was pretty underwhelming 5v5. 3rd line was the most dangerous for the Hawks right from the start and Kampf looked decent.
The younger D for the Hawks had a bit of a rough game and those no look passes were nasty. I don't care who is out there, those were some bang-bang passes perfectly executed.
Honestly, the Hawks were right in this game if they could bury a chance or two. They had looks and chances, but it was that one line for Vancouver that had the chemistry in overdrive. |

The deal 7 got was awful...the term not amount...
...but I'm still shocked that 19 peaked at 26 yo and is now nothing but a mediocre center. Did not see that coming. |
