Nice picture. I remember him wearing the "A" here in buffalo. Wonder if being captain has anything to do with players listening and respecting what you have to say.
Lindy had the players ears . He was a captain - Boss34
Pretty sure Gretzky was a captain. He was a terrible coach. Irrelevant.
Well, since that is the name of RORs new son, well it speaks volumes to what is important to him, lol.
Why not

Maybe because he's Irish?
Maybe it's the name of someone in his or his wife's/girlfriend's family?
I'm sure his wife had a say in what they named their kid.
Maybe they just really like the name.
Attributing what someone names their kid to them not being totally committed is on the same level of trying to say your coach has to have been a captain.
Plus, if you name your kid Connor or Auston you should be shot.

There's a whole list, but I'm sure some of these people are named or have named their kids one of them, and I know it might not seem like it, but I really don't want to get into it, so I'll just leave this here:
All this talk about emotion is funny, because when Lehner shows it it's a terrible thing. But when others don't it's a terrible thing. Pretty confusing.

Lighten up Francis, go to the store and buy a sense of humor.

Nice read Michael.
I said similar about Jack in the last blog, Eichel is evolving before our eyes.
Not sure how the light switch went on, but boy it did, night and day difference in terms of his 200’ game.
Fun to watch.
Whatever happened, have him give it to Sam...although Sam might be too disinterested in trying it.

Probably didn't have anything to do with the face to face with Russ Brandon in the locker room?
Even though the time line points there.
Messier isn't a coach. And I'm the clueless one? Seriously.
The best player ever was a captain and a terrible coach. It means absolutely nothing what kind of player you were to be a good coach. Ruff was a grinder and he's 5th all time in wins. Gretzky had only one season where his team got even half of the points, barely.
But you're totally right, you have to be a good leader to be a good coach.
