Oesterle has provided a skill set that the other 7 Hawks D cannot offer, a smooth-skating, offensively minded defenseman.

Yes, he's an adventure with that TJ Brennan "I'm going to play forward this shift" style sometimes. But his transition by quick pass or speedy first few strides is a welcomed sight in the Hawks lineups. He's in my lineup every night moving forward.
