Nico went from being ranked #7 to being ranked #1 after the World Junior Tournament last year. I don't think it would be a stretch that if Casey finish out this tournament strong, he would have overtaken Patrick at the #2 spot at last years draft. I'd bet Philly would trade us Patrick right now for him.

The nylander vs. Sargachev pick stands out as a miss.

My buddy mentioned how hard the sabres were trying to move up with Vancouver to draft casey.

Why would he drop to 8? Mitts was invited to help throw out the first pitch at the Cubs game ect. Top 3 prospect for a while.

Maybe the scouts downed his play in highschool vs. Lesser talent?

I was actually shocked that Hart couldn't make those stops in the shootout.
