You are 100 percent correct in that it is an annoyance and inconvenience. This board went of on a political tangent somewhere in the last couple months; that, too, was an irritant, and I say that irrespective of which political way any posters swung.

Just feel that bears — and Sox and cubs and bulls and any other sport out there — should be off here. Got to draw the line somewhere.

Sometimes the other Chicago sports stuff IS relevant to hockey as the Hawks are competing for the spotlight in a major sports market with other professional teams, and sometimes it does really matter how awful or good the other teams are doing because it influences PR moves and stuff like "Dylan Sikura is the next Patrick Kane" line

Just skip eading. I know a minor annoyance and minor inconvenience. The site administrator allows Bears football post; this is whom you address your thoughts to. Through control panel. I too would prefer all hockey but in respect to many passionate hockey and Bears fans, perhaps administrator feels football is ok. Probably not each day a ton of Bears stuff, but some ok is how I guess the administrator may feel.

About the half way point of season; everyone within a couple games played throughout the league. We have been on a road trip and I do not know our home bs away games played presently.

Frustrating that the Ducks are 4 pts up on us (we have 3 games in hand) and i think they've been missing pretty much half or more of their top 6 this season so far. Mind you though, they're in the Pacific and we're in the Central.

Agreed here. While this is a Hockey Forum first, We are all sports fans and comments about the ongoings of sports (especially within the market) may bleed into the forum from time to time. As long as it doesnt get out of hand, i dont mind it. One off-shoot tangent discussion about the bears isn't going to hurt anything, as long as there is still discussion about the hawks first and foremost.

The Sports pulse in Chicago as a whole does effect the Hawks, in a general sense, so discussion of a playoff run (Cubs WS year) or a Bears personal move (Fox Fired) in one thread here or there is ok to me.

Agreed, They are always tough.

Between, Dallas, Minny, Calgary and Ducks, they are the team I'd least want to play needing points to clinch a playoff spot.

Hawks do have games in hand though, so hopefully we can find a groove.

Most shots by far in the NHL without a goal. Either he is due to a big time goal scoring streak or its times to put Forsling or Osterle on PP 1. Both have enough speed to break up 2 on 1s.

Yeah, if certain players just aren't productive on a unit, logic would have it to try new players there. Seems to have worked for PP2. They might not necessarily score a ton of goals, but they at least move the puck and themselves a lot more than the core on PP1 to put the opposing PK on their heels.
