It really is. Plus, having 76 outdoor games a year has ruined the special feel that the first Winter Classic had.

I also don't understand why they don't have field-level bleachers and glass-side seating. It would be so easy to set them on a platform so the spectator could view the ice and they could have a broadcast camera and then the additional far perspective they use in the broadcasts.

These outdoor games are more for the live event than they are for TV. Most of them sell out, or get really close to it (though I did lose money on tickets to this game), and that is what the league is after. The shortcomings of the TV broadcast has always been something the league is willing to live with.

The same goes for the World Junior game. It doesn't look the best on TV (though i did watch it back on DVR and I didn't think it looked as bad as the harshest critics said it did), but live it was absolutely spectacular.

And not gotten to be in it at all. The NHL didn't want to come back to OP because of Hotel/Travel issues and they think the Bisons Stadium is too small, to which, I disagree.
