So now that the Drought is dead, who is the best player from that era (not including players from this year's team)?
It's Moorman, right? - jcragcrumple

Peters has to be there, perennial all star
Same with Rueben Brown, although I really thought he was way, way overrated
Not sure who else tbh - IonSabres

Yeah, these guys are better than Marv and Bill polian. 2 hall of famers. Sure guy
Jbotts has been here what 39 games and hasn't changed the world.
Drafting casey is just the start. - Boss34
Hey guy, who was the GM of the Sabres? Marv or Polian? Pay attention guy. |

Moulds doesn't count. Played in Music City Miracle. - Hatboro_Swords
He played the vast majority of his career in the drought.
Edit: If you're going to bust my balls about it. Travis Henry on offense. |

I'll be shocked and amazed if any moves worth a damn are made. Botts doesn't have the cashews. He's afraid of his shadow. Needs to get a dog. Beane on the other hand is crushing it. GMTM and Beane would be the best GM Tandem in Buffalo history if one didn't get a raw deal.
I hope I'm wrong about Botts. I guess there is a first for everything. - Hatboro_Swords
Can we say this, yet?
Signing Poyer, Hyde, was Whaley/McDermott. So was drafting White and trading down. Benjamin hasn't done a thing for us. Matthews was a total bust.
I don't really think he's done too much, yet |

Solid choice.
I think I'd go Fred. He's the best because he consistently gave it all, unlike some of the higher paid players who tended to disappear. He also had a great backstory and lasted a long time. He also didn't have many if any lowlights |

probably both be in the hall of fame but......

I've owned 2 Bills jerseys in my life. Moulds and Fletcher. If we're not counting Moulds I'd go Fletcher. Spikes had a few good years too. |

All purpose yards leader 2009
First player to have 1000 years rushing and 1000 yards on kickoffs.
He was damn good, and he kept making the team and vying for the top job despite the Bills drafting RBs high in the draft. |

I think it took cashews to trade the guys he did. In the end, they’re in the playoffs and they have the 2nd most draft capital in the league. |

Marv was a horrible coach... tell me how a coach with 5 hall of fame players doesn’t win one Super Bowl....

He wasn't part of getting the extra 1st, and basically added a 2nd rounder. He traded a 3rd out for Benjamin.
Don't get me wrong, I have 0 complaints about Beane, but I think McD deserves much more praise for the guys like Poyer and Hyde coming in |
