My sources are saying Eichel and Buffalo's 2018 1st rounder for Ceci is a strong possibility. E5

In all seriousness, he's clearly not playing with a full deck.

The only reason I would say can his ass now would be to prevent any further trade damage.

I'm expecting a RNH for Ceci deal to be announced any day now.

Wouldn't it be something if it came out that Chia has been trading good players in exchange for money

Yeah, connors the problem.
He doesn’t backcheck something something

He’s all world. His name shouldn’t even be mentioned among this mess except to feel bad for him

- HB77

just breaking balls obviously...He is pretty lazy on the back check at times though

12.5M for a 90-100 point player?

Doesn't sound like much of a bargain to me though...next year he needs to be in that 120 point range

But yeah certainly the least of their problems

120 points? Nobody scores 120 anymore. The metric for greatness has changed. 100 points is reasonable production for the price.

McDavid would score around 400 points a year if he had guys who could hit the net. He must set our players up with empty nets 3 or 4 times a game. His teammates are all retarded.

I thought he was generational? by definition he should easily be the top scorer

paying 6M for every 45-50 points? He had 100 last year, surely there should be some improvement

Nikita Kucherov is almost on a 120 pace...guess he is generational

I never said generational. I said great. And McDavid likely will score more than 100 at some point. But compare his deal to other high paid players who've signed recent deals. Some are far and above 6 mill per 50 points scored.

Jamie Benn - 9.5 for 89 points
Patrick Kane - 10.5 for 106 points
Jonathan Toews - 10.5 for 76 points
Vladimir Tarasenko - 7.5 for 75 points
Jack Eichel - 10 for 57 points
Steven Stamkos - 8.5 for 97 points
Ryan Johansen - 8 for 71 points
Ryan O'Reilly - 7.5 for 64

The above shows AAV compared to the players career high in points, some of whom will likely never reach such heights again. Compared to these recent deals, McDavids contract is quite reasonable given expected production in todays NHL.

Not saying he can't improve...I don't think 90-100 points is a good value for 12.5M but that starts next year.

No team has ever won paying that much for that production...I didn't put the generational label on him, media and fans did. One of the best players in the league for sure. Generational would suggest he is far and away the best player, remains to be seen.

1) Perhaps not now, but with continuing trend of higher contracts it soon will be.
2) If he isn't already, then he soon will be.

Certainly isn't yet...win multiple scoring titles and maybe the odd faceoff and then we will talk.

I wonder how many points McDavid would have right now if his teammates weren't cock-eyed knob gobblers who can't hit an open net from two feet away?

Pretty much a bust if he can't win a face off before he turns 21 and has yet to play 2 full seasons in the league.

Not a chance until he can win a face off.
