The coaching staff is retarded, and they're a huge part of the problem.
- laughs2907

But last year with pretty well the excact same team!! Same systems same everything could do no wrong!!! That's not all on the coaches. That's on the players!!

This is what we get when EA buys the rights.

Appreciate the Cabbage Patch Kid thing

Anyway... I hope theae (frank)ers don't win another game this season. I want Dahlin so bad

- laughs2907

The Cabbage Patch Kid thing was a reference made by someone else in here. Either you or Reveen iirc. Don't wanna take credit; just thought it was super apt

I want Zadina bad. He's looked very good thus far in the WJC. Very creative winger.

- Wildschwein

The entire Czech team is looking solid as hell. Maybe the best team they've had at a WJs in a long time. Zadina, Necas, Chytil, Safin and Hajek (to name a few) have been killing it offensively in their respective leagues.

I don't have a PS4, but a buddy of mine has beaten the Dark Souls franchise to death along with Nier Automata and the Last Of Us. Heard good things about FF15 but find it difficult to enjoy FF games. If you haven't already, the Witcher 3 is a fantastic game!
- MaximumBone

Loved the Uncharted series and Last of us. You aren't the first person to recommend Witcher 3 so might be time to put my GST check to good use.

Edm problems right now is not the head coach!!! It's maroon playing way over his head last year. Then coming back to earth this year. Kassian being his normal meathead self!! Draisaitl putting in an effort when he wants to!! Injuries on D. And a goalie who last year played incredible. This year just good.
- pzoxic

You’re basically suggesting chiarelli failed to identify any potential regression and just assumed postitive linear development for everyone. And didnt bother to shore up the defence and actually actively downgraded the offence. Which is a fair assessment and a totally boneheaded move that should lead to his firing.

But yeah, our special teams doesn’t just let us down, it’s historically bad and has us spotting one or two almost on a nightly basis. So when you’re not answering on your own pp (and for some reason not getting many opportunities) and also don’t have the firepower up front to answer 5v5, it’s a recipe for disaster.

But while I’ve been pretty reticent to put much on the coaches and have entirely focused on pc, it’s a pretty fuking awful job from the coaching staff and beyond debate at this point

They're both to blame... But the line combinations and choices the coaches are making is actually retarded. They need to go.

Yes indeed! Is it wrong that I'm kinda rooting for them against Canada? They've played so well, and I can't see us getting past Sweden anyhow.

Nah, Sweden almost always buckles in the medal round Unless they have one of the pillars (Klefbom, OEL, Lindholm) or one of the foundation (Karlsson or Hjalmarsson), they crumble under the pressure. The new generation IS rising with Brannstrom and Dahlin there but because they didn't bring Boqvist (heir apparent to a spot among the Swedish D gods), I predict a bronze medal.

That sucks. Maybe they need a Mutant League Hockey game for the Xbox One/PS4 to be a thing... I'd buy it.

I shall hold you to that. IMO Dahlin's accession has already begun!
