Except for the actual specific points I made
There is nothing that Lindblom will do from now until when he actually gets called up that is going to deem him "ready" He is just going to get called up. You aren't rushing a player that is ready - YuenglingJagr
100 % correct.

So what have the Flyers told you they want from him that you think he has done and is ready?
Do you know specifically what they want to see from him that you have deemed him ready?
Thing is none of us know exactly what the Flyers want to see from him. I am sure when they feel he has done everything they want to see and know once he is up they plan to keep him up he will be here.

i want to see as many of the young kids as much as the next person but I do get allowing prospects the time to develop in the minors to refine their game. no player has been ruined spending extra time in the minors but it can be said development has hindered or even ruined players being rushed. and believe me I am one of the people who are clamoring to see the kids. my heart wants them in now. My head gets it - nastyflyergirl
who says it though? Did the Oilers ruin Nail Yakupov's development or was he just never that good of an NHL player?
I realize we have always said development can be ruined...I just don't think it gets to the level that it is cracked up to be. I can't look at everything that has happened in the modern NHL (where actual development takes place) and say that is definitive |

Lindbolm gets called up for the outdoor game. Doesn't take the pregame skate. Lights go out. Cue https://youtu.be/zh0_ZBK9Cfg
Lights come up. Matt Murray is left naked in goal save for his pads. |

Was it not talked about for a week when it became clear he was being sent down that they deemed him "half step behind" and needed him to transition to the smaller ice? "establish himself offensively" even though he barely played in the preseason after scoring. Is it safe to say he has done that? |

So, I think it's pretty much a lead pipe cinch that Tyrell Goulbourne scores tonight, the Flyers win, and he never comes out of the lineup. |

i get how the people who want the kids up feel. i do too. seeing Lehtera Weise and Filpulla in the lineup deadens my heart but i understand hextall's patience. sometimes i do wonder if TK was better off in juniors last year and Patrick this year. what keeps me going is knowing the phantoms will be injected with a solid group of kids next season and the Flyers should see the overflow so to speak |

So he has done that? 35 games is enough to say he is good to go?
I don't know if it is or isn't.
but i am ok letting him play more AHL games if it gives me a better feel of how he will be once he is called up.
Also something people never talk about is it takes a lot of luck for everything to work out. There are plenty of guys drafted higher then Lindblom that have fizzled out quickly. |

Jokes aside, I don't know what it will take for him to get replaced.
Just for appearances sake, they should let another coach get a crack at fixing it. |

i guess without having an alternate reality we can never really know for sure. I always felt Zubrus maybe could have been a better player had he not been in the NHL as an 18 yo but obviously how can one prove that. i guess i just prefer to err on the side of caution. but yeah I get it, i want to see the kids play too. like i said heart/head. |

I would buy a whole season ticket package if they let me fire Lappy out of a cannon at the carnival.
They have to let me aim it though. |

The answer in his mind to both of those questions are, yes.
I don't watch nearly as much AHL as Yueng does, so I won't comment on if he's ready or not. |

For me wanting to see kids isn't a result of watching poopty players in the lineup. I watch plenty of hockey and see the impact skilled, young players can have on a team when they seize the opportunity. His patience is overall very beneficial to what the franchise used to be, but I don't think "well, we don't want to be wrong" is an actual evaluation method.
edit: refer to my next post in regards to lindblom... |

I think I've read somewhere that Clarke and Holmgren have said as much, regarding Zubrus. The thinking was that he might have benefited from some time at the AHL level, to help develop his offensive game. |

I am not the best "skating" guy and I find it tough to do from a TV a lot of times, but there are no issues there for me. I think the answer to the offensive assertion question is pretty obvious too. I thought (along with many others) he would've been fine starting in the NHL, but I don't see what else he could do at this point.
Regardless, I don't think any of it changes his long term scoring potential in the NHL. This idea that he is going to turn into this top line scorer or something that we haven't already seen yet |

I like re-fried beans. That's why I want to try fried beans because maybe their just as good and we're wasting time. |
