If the reports are true that Belichick wanted to start Garoppalo and sit Brady, but Brady then went to Kraft and demand he trade Garoppalo, I find it to be 100% believable. I would like the whole situation blow up in New England's face. They have both coordinators interviewing for HC jobs. I would love Belichick to play it off telling Kraft he already has their replacements lined up and then when they leave, Bill just retires. Leave the Pats with good old Brady, no backup QB and no coaching staff.

He wasn’t gonna start Garoppolo over Brady
Not now

Brady did realize that Garoppolo was EVENTUALLY gonna replace him though
And since he wants to play till his mid-40s,
That’s why Tom went to Kraft

But he wouldn’t have been replaced till next year at the earliest

skid mark is having a good tourney, even if sabre fans can't see it
