MM really can never make that save the team needs to boost them. That is a basic nhl calibre save there. Aho literally only had one possible move and he couldn't stop it. - taleisyreXIII
Ya know, Murray has definitely not had a great season, but you can only keep your team in a game long enough without them scoring. |

Honestly they do not play for MM...i see a much better team when Jarry is in there. I don't know but this team may have been let down a little too much by MM this year. It happens and he can right the ship...but he has to steal some games here to regain the trust of his team.
*and this isn't even mentioning the loss of maf in favour of this guy. |

I'd like to see Jarry given the starts for an extended period. 1. He looks promising & 2. Give Muzza a reset - he needs something to get him back on track. |

Since they got back into the hunt they've been throttling teams on D. They play everybody tight and have a real strong backcheck creating turnover after turnover after turnover. |

The Pens just haven't played this year. They've actually been a fairly decent possession team, but the problem is they don't play aggressively enough to create real scoring chances and commit far too many sloppy turnovers.
This is not a sharp team and hasn't been all year. |

This is just like when the team couldn't play defense and MAF took all the heat. Odd-man breaks galore. No back check. Turnovers on almost every shift. I think we gave up another 2-0 in this game.

So it seems. Forwards can be super aggressive without too much fear of an odd man the other way. Really solid play. |

I agree Simon's had a strong game. Should have a permanent spot in the lineup until moves are made. - Victoro311
All youth 4th line. Why not? It can't be worse than the trash we dress now and the 4th doesn't even play. Then everyone will wonder why we look tired tomorrow. We play 3 lines, that's why. And give Jarry multiple starts in a row please. |

It doesn't matter if Murray or Jarry give up one goal or ten. If the Pens aren't going to score, it's irrelevant how good the goaltenders perform.

Remember the hotstove malarkey about you guys 'coming back'? You had played about 4 less games than the nearest rival & were 3points out. Now the wind has picked up............swirling..............turning..................destruction.................... |

Oh no doubt the whole team is bad...but then I need a stolen game here or there...maf stole many games for us. Those are NEEDED in the nhl.
But this is what happens when u rely on scoring and the team struggles to do just that...they have crap for d and the forwards are always always always too low in the offensive zone. They r even too low for every rebound that goes into the slot....i don't know how many times I've seen all three forwards below the perfect rebound from a point shot. |

We can really sit and nitpick about the goaltending, but like I said in another reply, it doesn't matter if they let up one goal or ten, the Pens are scoring and have had issues not only scoring enough, but scoring at the right time.
Scoring creates momentum, but when you decide to show up in the last ten minutes of a game it's too little too late.
Murray has definitely had some bad games, but I think he's kept the Pens in games more than people realize when you consider the dumpster fire turnover machines they've been. |

But that is this system. Did u not see that series against Washington? This is what happens when goaltending returns to normal or even below average. It's a team game..a big save or stolen win from a goalie can spur momentum just as much as a goal. That is an absolute fact. Furthermore if this team cannot score and is struggling then our bloody coach has to get all 5 playing nothing but d and patient hockey. THIS IS NOT WORKING! |

So both Sid & Geno played under 20 Minutes, would anyone say that's going to create 'tired legs'? |

We'll at least now we can get back to business of spreading ridiculous trade rumors and blowing up this lackluster mess. Murray and Letang...who's buying? |
