Agreed. I cringe any time he has the puck on his stick. - BiggE
That was a pretty good foray behind the net there. Got a shot off.

Lately its just as bad when he doesn't have it, he gives up way to much ice in his end as well. |

Patrick had two blind plays with the puck in offensive zone on the powerplay. Both of them losing possession. Not pretty. |

True, it was nice to see him do something besides have his shot blocked or blindly throw it in the corner. Honestly, I'd rather see Manning sit to get Sanheim back in, but Hak seems to love the guy. |

Lehtera has a full minute more of icetime than Laughton or Ghoul. I like to believe that it is because it takes him that much longer to get off the ice. |

my biggest knock on Hak has been his love affair with Hagg. Kid needs to see the game from the Cote suite for a week or so - bulet13

Think he is saying if Sanheim can sit because of his play, then there is no reason Hagg can't sit as well. And I agree he needs to sit. Swapping in Sanheim for Hagg won't hurt as much as some believe it might. Hagg has been struggling as of late, why keep him in? What message does that say to Sanheim? |

After the first shift I didn’t notice Ghoul on the ice at all. Did he get another shift? |

On closer inspection, Pietrangelo actually jumped back in fear of getting hammered by Ghoul while he had the puck. There's your Norris candidate, fears clean hits in open ice by players 4 inches shorter. |

He accused Hakstol of having a love affair with Hagg and listed it as his biggest issue with Hakstol as a coach. I have posted a number of times that I felt it was time for Hagg to sit some games. With that said both Hagg and Manning are better NHL defenseman right now than Sanheim is. |

Yes, and he was still quite disruptive. He and Lehtera made a good screen in front of the net and drew a penalty.

I haven't been watching the boys too much lately, but I must say, I am very glad I decided to make time and tune in today. Hell of a first period there. Great pressure in the zone, and not playing very much in their own end. Keep it up boys! |

What i believe tho with kids, their psyche and confidence are an ebb and flow. Taking Sanheim out of line up because he is struggling, but yet him seeing Hagg remain in and struggling now makes him wonder im sure why did he sit and this guy who has having some issues doesn't? I could be wrong, but just saying with rookies, there should be no discrepancies between either of them when it comes to mistakes and needing to watch a few games. |

i have never once criticized Hak for not playing the kids. Actually i have tried to disprove the narrative that he doesnt play the kids on multiple occasions. He should play whoever gives them the best chance to win. Right now imo that is not Hagg |

i doubt that. I think Sanheim knows exactly why he is sitting and has been communicated with by the coaching staff. Fans keep wanting things to be consistent from player to play. Not the nature of the sport.

Goulbourne hit directly led to the first goal. That was pretty cool. |
