He looks much stronger on the puck tonight. Great job protecting it against a large man in Larsson and Oeasterle can shoot the freaking puck! Take notes #2!!

that mcd is impressive...he can beat you anyway...quick, fast, and hes gone..

But they’ve covered him nicely - and his line hasn’t put much pressure on Forsberg.

Hawks really needed these 2 points. Gotta beat the teams you're supposed to beat.

every game now has playoff implications...not elimination of course...but this team can not afford another poop streak of losing 5 of 7

It's dumbfounding to see 19 play so horribly at times, and look really good like he did tonight. Is he finally getting into game shape with his legs? Does he have the suspected back injury that flares up and makes him very ineffective for stretches of time? Or is it simply a matter of "effort/work-ethic"?? I wish I knew.....

Good games from the top 2 lines, Oesterle and Forsberg.

Panik was invisible, sit him for Hayden.

I think it's a combination of a soft Oiler defense....and sometimes Toews will have days where his back allows him to play like he's 23 again. Back injuries ( if that's what his issue is) are a funky thing. They come n go.

Did he even see the ice in the 3rd? What a freakin bust he's turned out to be. I was very excited for him to keep improving after last year's breakout season. He was a fixture at 1RW last year....wtf happened???

I think it's a back that flares up from time to time , I just dont think Toews would not put in the effort.

20-19-48
38-8-88
10-15-12
57-64-Hayden (forgot his number)

No room for 17 or 14 - but I doubt Q would agree.

Agree 100% with your line combos (Hayden is 40) and the fact that Q will likely see it differently.

Yes. Those who are pining for Panik over Bouma are not watching closely. Just what does Panik contribute?
He is not a threat to score, fumbles passes, barely hits anymore, does not intimidate anyone with his size, is not used on special teams -just what does he do?

For all the crap Stan takes here for almost every move he makes, why isn’t anyone giving him credit for signing Oesterle? That was a July 1st move, he was on their radar as an important signing. Plus, a top 4 defensemen for $650,000 for two seasons.

Solid move by Stan.

No reason for optimism until these guys get a resounding win over a team like Vegas, St. Louis, Nashville or L.A.

Honestly, I think ALL his off season moves have been good.

And I must have missed it, but why was Murphy scratched today? Is he healthy?
