For the last week or so, I thought Seabrook had turned it around....he was paying and skating better.
But now hes reverted back to sucking. - tompo1015
Like Toews, why is that he is better sometimes and just not the same old by any stretch imagination. Hearing that he skipped summer workouts but even if true there logically must be more to it. He never was a great skater, had a lot of mileage so could he be slowing down and skating the root cause. Hmmmm... |

Honestly, I think ALL his off season moves have been good.
And I must have missed it, but why was Murphy scratched today? Is he healthy? - kwolf68
Likely because of his mistake against Vegas. It’s not the best way to maintain Murphy’s confidence. He’s been one of the better defensemen, but one mistake (albeit costly) and he sits. Murphy should be playing every night, plain and simple. |

If he could give some to Seabrook would he become The Incredible Hulk? |

For all the crap Stan takes here for almost every move he makes, why isn’t anyone giving him credit for signing Oesterle? That was a July 1st move, he was on their radar as an important signing. Plus, a top 4 defensemen for $650,000 for two seasons.
Solid move by Stan. - DarthKane

What is the story, Oesterle sought out Chicago to sign here, or was Bowman proactive getting Oesterle signed here. |

I thought Forsberg's rebound control was excellent tonight. Actually, aside from the horrible goal, he was great all game. |

Idk, but Stab will have to continue to rely on reclamation projects like Oesterle, Forsling and Panik last year before he lost his head in his own ass this year. Also Euro UFAs like Panarin, Rutta, Kampf ect....Despite beating a one-player team in the Connor McOilers, I don't think anything has changed regarding where this current Hawks team sits in the NHL hierarchy.... |

I think 11 should sit almost every night, and they should rotate 6, 44 and 82. 7 should sit every6 or 7 games, and 2 should sit every 10 to try to save their legs IF we can make the playoffs. 5 and 42 should play just about every game. |

#6 is their 8th Dman and soon to be gone hopefully. 2 cent on ice brain. |

It was speculated on here that he was slew footed against Vegas and his play dropped off after that incident. Maybe he was given the day off?
Speaking of slew foots, the one by Lucic on Debrincat, wtf was that? Shoudln't that warrant a phone hearing with NY? If he responded that way because Debrincat grabbed his stick, why doesn't he do what the Sedins always have done and let it go so every zebra sees the stick in Debrincat's hands?

I get that, and I'd be ok with him playing less than 82 and 44. I just think he should play more than 11. |

There's that word again(playoffs)
This is a development year with all the young players, so inconsistent, good game but, inconsistent minus CC equals 500 record |

Yea forget about all of Seabrook's crap...double standard Joel |

It's dumbfounding to see 19 play so horribly at times, and look really good like he did tonight. Is he finally getting into game shape with his legs? Does he have the suspected back injury that flares up and makes him very ineffective for stretches of time? Or is it simply a matter of "effort/work-ethic"?? I wish I knew..... - EnzoD
As long as the "Toews might have the Bo Jackson injury" nonsense stops then I can keep my sanity |

As Olczyk pointed out, AdB initiated the contact on that play - and Lucic did get a minor. |

On a side note...ex-Hawk Nick Leddy is killing me in my office hockey pool. Zero points and -4 today. Last month he had 4 assists and went -15. - DarthKane
Shut your dirty girl mouth!!! He is the answer to all that ails Hawks D and I for one, will not stand by silently while you besmirch his good name....stats do not tell the whole story pallie

So there are 5 teams battling for the last playoff spot.
For now
Avs +6
Wild +5
Hawks +5
Flames +5
Ducks +4
It'll be a interesting year |

Great win today . Toews line playing very well .Glad the HAWKS finally came to their sense and brought Vinny back !! .To bad Hayden and Mur were sat ,more anise roster moves by HOF coach Q . Believe the biggest problem this team has is Joel ego . Anyway having to battle tooth and Nail for a playoff spot could be the best thing for this young team . Like they say what don't kill you makes you stronger GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

it was a bad pinch by murphy but it was a terrible soft pass from Nick S. it you look at the play Nick (very good passer) drops it to murphy way to slow. I assume murph was not expecting that. also The puck is on the left side and seabrook is 20 feet inside the blue line shouldn't he be at the blue line if its not on his side. does keith watch film? shoot the puck or pass, that terrible pause and wind up is just awful. how does a norris have the 8th worst shoot on the team. |

He'd have a few more Norris Trophies if he got his shot through consistently. |
