Canucks were a better team than I expected last night.

I liked that 4th line? The one with Gaunce and Shampoo (sp)

Keep building.

JV has less points then Matt Martin this year, why do you guys even talk about him? And that’s like a serious question, I don’t understand what he’s doing to still be considered a good piece going forward.
- ClarksonDavid

He’ll be a 20 goal power forward who thrives in the playoffs, similar to Kreider.

Cheaper & better is JV. We don’t have a weak division to pad the stats.

I just don’t think he’ll be any better than guys like Sven, Granlund, Lind, Lockwood, Gadjovich, etc.
- Nucker101

In the future? Who knows...but Brown is already better (in the sense that he plays in the NHL and has scored 20 geno's in a season) than everyone on that list, except arguably for Sven.
I could see him on the 2nd/3rd line with a healthy team.

Sven-Bo-Brock
Loui-Sutter-Brown
Sedin-Sedin-Goldobin
Granlund-Gagner-JV
Dowd

The great thing is that’s actually our 5th line when healthy. This team was 4 games above .500 with Horvat healthy. They’ll be back in the playoffs sooner than most realize. Especially with Pettersson, Gaudette and Juolevi joining the team next year.

Exactly. He’s probably be in double digits goal-wise in that division.

I know you disagree with my reasons for Jim staying, but I just cant see a candidate with the stature/history of Lombardi or Holland taking a job without complete autonomy on decision making; and I cant see Aquilini, who delayed a proper rebuild so he could still get playoff revenue and is now facing slumping attendance, allowing a new GM to come in without the guarantee he wont fire the coach with 3 more years left on his deal
- WhiteLie

I don't disagree I have said the same thing "Who is better?" .I don't have an answer.

Dean may choose employment over unemployment even if it means being a yes man

Leafs haven’t even played against their division much so far this year I don’t think but okay. Also your division is horrible too so not a great excuse

EP is dominating a man’s league. OJ was a beast at the WJHC and is a top 4 dman in a man’s league. Gaudette is dominating college hockey.

These guys are going to skate circles around guys like Gaunce and Hutton in next year’s camp.

Do the pics show 2018 1st in them along with Dermott?

I really hope we just re-sign EG tbh.

Speed kills these days. And these guys are already showing that their too good to be playing against AHL scrubs. They might start down in the AHL due to being waiver exempt but all 3 will finish next year on the Canucks.

I didn't know that any of them were known for blazing speed, but with Vancouver's injury luck, you're are probably 100% correct on that one. \

Canucks are one of the smaller teams out West and they looked big compared to the Leafs. Del Zotto alone had like 10 hits.

Those are some damn decent prospects to add. I see them in the playoffs next year. The more Canadian teams the better.

Surprised Gudbranson for Marincin didn't go down last night.

i would not trade connor brown for gudbranson straight up, not in a million years

20 goal scorer who plays on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th line. He can play a shutdown role or an offensive role. He is one of our go to pk players and he can slot in on the pp if the big guns are hurt or struggling. he makes 2.1 million per year for three more years and he's still an rfa after that.

this guy was the ohls mvp(mcdavid was 2 years younger and missed games for world junior though)

during his ahl rookie year he led all rookies in points and was top 20 in the league. if not for (frank)ing matt murray he wouldve won rookie of the year.

the year after he broke his leg and misseed most of the season delaying his nhl career by about a year.

all he has ever done is get the job done at every level

you dont trade guys like that for replaceble plugs

I'm hoping Jim picks up Hendricks as a UFA next summer.
