i would not trade connor brown for gudbranson straight up, not in a million years

20 goal scorer who plays on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th line. He can play a shutdown role or an offensive role. He is one of our go to pk players and he can slot in on the pp if the big guns are hurt or struggling. he makes 2.1 million per year for three more years and he's still an rfa after that.

this guy was the ohls mvp(mcdavid was 2 years younger and missed games for world junior though)

during his ahl rookie year he led all rookies in points and was top 20 in the league. if not for (frank)ing matt murray he wouldve won rookie of the year.

the year after he broke his leg and misseed most of the season delaying his nhl career by about a year.

all he has ever done is get the job done at every level

In my view it matters because FA will spend his fair share of hockey related revenues, but coaching contracts (and playoff revenues) are excluded from that and hurts his bottom line

Canucks are one of the smaller teams out West and they looked big compared to the Leafs. Del Zotto alone had like 10 hits.

Everyone on the leafs thread says boeser is a gem. You guys can keep him we can keep Matthews. Both are great young players, I’d rather have Matthews but whatever if it was the other way around and Boeser played for Leafs I’d probably rather have him.

Paying two coaches happens all the time in sports. Should not be a deciding factor about going after your guy.

AV/Mike Gillis is an example of FA already doing it.

Those guys only had 1 year left on their deals, Green has 3 more years after this.

I agree it shouldnt matter, but after FA has paid AV, Gillis and Torts in the past few years, I dont think he would be thrilled about paying another coach to not be around during the franchise's lowest point

Hendricks has a goal and a fight through one period this afternoon.

He may be the most underrated player in the West.

Look at what loosing him has done to EDM.

He should get extended in the Peg, but would be a fantastic add for any team
