If EP ends up being C it could be EP, BB, TV....quite a potent and creative combo with TV being a net front presence - SMBDragon

Love them, looking for multipoint nights for both of them against a very very bad Montreal squad |

Really doesn’t. Boeser’s offense looks close because of how many minutes he gets. In reality his points/60 comes in way behind Matthews, Kadri, Nylander, Marner, JVR, and Bozak.
Leafs have lots of offensive minutes to spread around.
Not that Boeser isn’t impressive in his rookie season but he isn’t on Matthew’s level offensively, defensively, or in terms of position. - Feeling Glucky?
For fun...2017-2018 stats... http://www.quanthockey.co...18-nhl-players-stats.html
Goals Per 60 minutes:
Boeser: 2.068
Matthews: 1.862
James van Riemsdyk: 1.670
Nazem Kadri: 0.342
Tyler Bozak: 0.191
William Nylander: 0.186
Mitch Marner: 0.116
...and Kadri, Bozak, Marner and Nylander don't even make the top 50 in scoring, so who gives a poop what their GP60 is! If you think they have more time-on-ice, check this comparison between Awesome Matthews & the Flow:
Boeser: 16:48
Matthews: 18:33
...and if you're still inclined, you can check out the same stats for your other "stars".
Auston is a star player and if he were on my team I wouldn't trade him for anyone, but Brock is in the same conversation already, and is outpacing Matthews. |

When we see a team like Oilers struggle like they are now, our first thought is, hey they could use Tanev or Gudbranson.
That team has a mediocre defense for sure, but their real problem is the forwards are absolutely terrible defensively.
They not only could use one of our defenseman mentioned, but a couple of our defensively responsible forwards should be considered.
Maybe the makings of an actual hockey trade where we trade one of our defensemen, Sutter and Granlund for RNH, Benning and a nice pick.

Boeser can ask Matthews to his place when the season is over and let him play with his Calder trophy |

BB doesn’t have as good of an offensive supporting cast either. Zilch on D. |

Cannot see EP at C for a few years if ever.
NHL game is not suited for him IMO.
Wing he can drive the play from easier.
Projecting for next year or the year after...

To be fair Corrado was projected for the future Olympics but as everyone knows two years with the Leafs turn most young players careers into sh1t. - VANTEL
It’s too bad Corrado didn’t go to Europe or something this year or he probably had a shot at olympics. That would have been too funny |

Are you seriously suggesting that the canucks defensive play is so rock solid that the coilers should be considering picking up some of our players to shore up their defensive game ??? |

Suggesting the Oilers cannot keep the puck out of net & in need of severe help. Hansen is cheap help & versatile & add any top 4 defensive D man helps greatly. |

I would have liked to see EP at center during the WJC. Unless he can put on size & strength, I also see him on the wing.
