Last year every single bounce went our way. Not so much this year. Complicate that with some bone headed moves by management and, well, back to the same old spiel I guess.
- Wildschwein

I hear ya
Didn’t like almost all of the moves Chiarelli has made
That’s guy is an idiot

Do u guys hate the Lucic contract yet?

And trading Hall & Eberle was a mistake,
especially for the return u guys got

Yeah, because that's what I said.

Sorry if I don't want to pay Kirk "I can't win" Cousins $33M essentially. Which would leave the Bills with ~$25M in cap space to fill all the openings they have. That doesn't fill me with confidence unless you're going with all rookies. In which case why pay a veteran QB a poopload of money? Just draft a kid and run with him.

He's on pace for 60+ points and scares the hell out of everybody. Don't hate it now, but time will tell.

Tyrod for a 3rd or 4th (I know I'm greedy)

Buh bye Dennison

This is a win win if it happens

Would give the Bills 10 draft picks in this draft

Would keep Arizona from drafting a QB in the first round (especially if they give up a 3rd rounder for him)

I am not a Dennison at all

- Stripes77

Why would any team give the Bills anything for Tyrod?.
I'm not saying he's terrible and that he isn't worth a draft pick.
The Bills are most definitely going to cut him and move on. Why give up anything, just sign him in free agency.

Wouldn't be the first time it happened to a Buffalonian...

No weapons? Huh?

This year wasn't great, but last year when they won a whole 1.5 games more they had Garcon, a (mostly)healthy Jordan Reed, DeSean Jackson, Vernon Davis, Jamison Crowder(who's better than any Bills WR). And their running game was good. And they went 8-7-1. Cousins can't win. If we had no dead money from Tyrod and he wanted low 20's. Sure, sign me up, but paying almost $7M more than the current highest paid QB for a guy who can't win? (frank) that. I'd rather have 3,500 yard Keenum. He can win at least and he won't command the absurd salary that Cousins will.

- Wetbandit1

Serioulsy?

That year Cousins threw for almost 5000 yards

They had a leading rusher that had 700 yards

Their defense was bottom 5 in yards allowed, 19th in points allowed
Their offense was 3rd in yards gained, 12th in points scored

He had (7) 300 yard throwing games, 2 of which were over 400 yards, only 5 games did they score less than 20 points, 7 times they scored 27 or more points.

The offense was 5th in the league in 3rd down conversions on offense and dead last in the league in allowing the most 3rd down conversions

So please tell me how that is on Kirk Cousins

I'm sorry but Cousins not worth 30 mill per year.

I’d prefer Keenum too...
but Cousins threw for over 4,000yds again this season (3rd year in a row)
No running game
No Jordan Reed

He’s a good QB
We need a good QB

It’s that simple

- jdfitz77

Apparently he is going where ever Shurmur goes

Didn't say he was

5 years $130 million is my offer its a $2 million per year raise from what he is making now and a long term commitment

Throw him a 4-year deal for 80-million, take it or leave it, draft a proper understudy, cut Peterman and have the balls to sign a marquee QB for once without worrying about money is what I say.
- BeadyEyedDouche

Cousins is looking at max term and max money
He is also looking for an opportunity to win.
Not sure if Buffalo fits either of these categories.

If your new england and offer a take it or leave it offer: players may take it. Buffalo isn't close to new england. We have to overpay for every free agent in both sports.

Cousins Minimum is 28 a year. Franchise tag is 34.

I just don't think he is worth that, especially with how awful he has been this year.

For 30MM a year I want a guy that makes players around him better not a guy that needs players around him to perform.

I'd say they offer a better opportunity to win than most places looking for a QB other than maybe the Broncos and Jacksonville.

Him on Jacksonville would be a good fit but they only have $17 million, Denver only has $26 million and the Bills are just under $40 million

That’s the argument AGAINST Keenum though
You’re basically saying Minny is such a good team that any QB can win with them
(Bradford is mediocre)

Now I happen to like Keenum A LOT
But if he’s not available,
then Cousins is easily my next choice

Hall of Famer... nope
4,000 yard passer... yep
We need someone who can throw

And as I said before,
we can still draft/develop a QB behind him

- jdfitz77

No that's not my argument against Keenum. Not even a little bit. Keenum took a team that even with Bradford no one thought would win, and won with them. Cousins has had weapons and couldn't. You're too focused on yards. Bortles has thrown for a ton of yards before and went 5-11. Cousins is The Garbage Man. It's what you do with those yards.

The objective is no longer to make the playoffs. The objective is to be a legit contender. And Kirk Cousins isn't that, full stop. If he wants to sign a huge 1 or 2 year deal? Fine I'd go for that all day long and give him $57.5M for 2 years, but I'm pretty sure he's done with 1 or 2 year deals. He's going to want at least 6 years. But it's all moot unless and until Washington decides to let him go and not tag him.

He's at $24 million now

http://www.spotrac.com/nf...dskins/kirk-cousins-9915/

He is also performing the rest of his team is not

7th in the league in passing

Edit: Read yours too quickly, I think a team will get him around $26 if they commit to him

Minny being able to win with Bradford shows how good of a TEAM they are,
and that it’s not necessarily Keenum who made them all that good

I happen to like Keenum a lot but that argument doesn’t help him

Cousins is a good qb
We need a good qb

What “great” ones are available?

Only way to get a potential great one is to draft one and I am not sold on this draft class.

I agree, teams that need qbs tend to be the lower half teams.
I would think coach mcdermott would also be a guy players would want to play for.
These o line is good and our defense is up and coming.
Just hoping the bills don't pull a ror with cousins. Pay extra and a long term contract for someone who's not quite a #1 top guy.
Good but not great, but very paid as very good.

While I agree, Homie said the Cards came calling for him so that's what prompted the trade discussion

I’m not sold at 21/22...
that’s for sure

The best QB we could have start for us next year is Cousins
(Unless Luck is traded)

I like Keenum, and he’d be cheaper...
so he’s tops on my list

But we are still playing if either were our QB this season
