Hard to disagree with all of the above.
Lacking depth at C hurts.
D not helping on offence.
Injuries still overwhelming.
In goal the pain is real lol

Still all about developing our prospects & keep drafting our way out of this mess.
Hopefully the TDL will bring us some more talent &/or picks. Look forward to late season auditions again eg Gaudette etc.

I doubt whether he is a late season audition, more like a tdl subtraction.

I doubt after the TDL you see anything better than a Goldobin-level talent additional.

And I wouldnt bring any prospects into this mess for late season auditions if I had the choice. Utica is in a playoff hunt and the Canucks are fragile. Horvat/Sutter returns will help, but IMO wont drastically change the effort level we have seen so far in 2018

Seth Jones is a serious contender.
- Reubenkincade

I completely agree. I think Hedman deserved it last year, so I'd give him the nod after being on the ballad the last three years. Jones has been unreal, no question.

I hope management is reading the team twitter feed tonight, these post-game quotes should really confirm to them that this is a lost season. No confidence, no spark, and a few did the usual "we have some key injuries, but thats not an excuse" excuse...

β€œWe gave away the game in the 2nd, that was our worst period of the season. It takes a good 60-minute effort to win and it might take more than that for us to win right now.” - Henrik Sedin

"It's probably the toughest stretch I've been through in my career. It's a tough and humbling league." - @MichaelDelZotto

"Confidence on this team is tough to find these days. We need to find it." - @Guddy44

What are you alluding management is really thinking?

With 7 weeks for TDL what are they supposed to be doing?

That’s been the issue with too much losing. If you think you have no chance then it looks like lack of effort. More likely just fragility and emotional drainage that wanes focus and energy.

Does it help development? Not really. Though the injuries will give some opportunities to expose certain prospects and measure what they can do.

I know and in my own opinion it served zero purpose other than to sell season ticket packages (and nearly cost them 29th place). If I had to bet, they will do it again, but I said if it was up to me I wouldnt bother and load up the AHL team instead

As players get healthy thats most likely but currently our depth has taken a huge hit.
What or how good that depth is is hard to say but your idea works for me. πŸ‘πŸ‘

It served alot of purpose...it gave the flow the money he needed to ease the burden on his mom , and the family medical bills. It was about doing Brock a solid and rewarding him for signing. Clear pr win for JB sure they could just dump him in Utica...but the pay rate is what....10% of his nhl wages?

I was going to edit and add this, because its true that it was a nice gesture by the team, but it also doesnt change the fact that the team also saw it as an opportunity to showcase Boeser to boost ticket sales. To me it wasnt a coincidence that Willie was suddenly told to play the kids around that very same time

It was a total PR win, suddenly the year end articles were hyping Boeser's 4 goals in 9 games and if he could do it next season, instead of the disaster season they just finished

This kid is having a pretty decent season in Sweden,

I don't look at point production, this kid is playing in the top league there.

He is a bruiser who stays at home.
Given we need offensive D to be drafted him Holm make good partners for them.

Given what we have in our prospect pool i think JB will hunt & pick those D who can score. Starting with his coveted RHD for the PP. be nice to pick 2 next draft. 1st & 2nd pairings need more threat to score. 3rd pairing only need be smart & reliable & proving grounds for up n comers.

I'm waiting for a management group that is thinking long term not next years ticket sales.

Just got in from Hockey and caught the hi lites...yipes Marky on that 2nd goal just can't get a save when we need it and did Guddy actually bat that puck in our own net with his hand or was it the WAS player that caught it with his stick. Oh well such were some of the predictions around here where we go 0-4-2 on the road trip. It is what it is that pick is looking better and better.
