You editted. You know who is winning? Winnipeg? They seem to be doing just fine without him. Edm seems to be hurting with the best player in the world. And the canucks have won 2 in their last 15 with thr best rookie this year. One player doesnt determine how great a team can be, but he can certainly bring a team down and evander kane causes trouble everywhere he goes.

i think the team should be a little more forward thinking. sure they need to fill out the roster and some UFAs will help but i'm not sure the top tier is where the canucks should do their shopping.

save some cap going forward. you know that brock will command a nice raise and if you believe in your prospects, you will need to save some money for their 2nd contracts as well.

in summary, sign mid to low level UFAs with an eye to trading them. save cap and plan for how you want to shape the team 3ish years from now.
