That whole roster is pretty gross
Russia will win gold and ovie will forever be a non winner - Redmile247
Hard to imagine them losing, pretty good lineup for them. Do They get to be team russia, or are they team "no country"? |

From the moment I saw they got all 4 I felt the first two would be fine and the bottom two would be garbage - Redmile247
I had high hope for Burmi but it wasn't to be. Nilsson looked good for about 12 games and now has become what his stats have always shown.
Markstrom has also been shaky but the team also needs to score. In the back of my head I thought Marky might put his stamp on the no 1 spot but it's clear now he is a career glorified backup. We can't rush Demko so it is what it is. I would not be shocked to see Demko get a few games up here after TDL however. Nothing to ruin him...just a few games to see how handles NHL speed and shots.
29th spot now is exactly where this team needs to be. Well at least until we get another quote from Hank on playoffs or 'it's no fluke we are where we are'...lol |

The hands pretty well dealt again this year. Hank should keep his mouth shut, he's delusional if he thinks we're making the playoffs. Sign Guadette, let him play a few games to burn a year off his ELC and keep the slurpers excited. |

Raymond, Vey and Lapierre are the only ones really. The rest are what 20-30 games tops? - neem55
Man.
Vey?
Willie D really pulls for his guys, doesn't he.
From medicine hat to the canucks to team Canada.
It's actually a pretty cool story for the guys that were plying their trade overseas and get a chance to play on the olympics.

Every once in a while you can find a gem in another teams disaster but it’s typically unlikely ...none of the signings were bad choices though ...low cap low years low risk
Next year could be interesting to see what UFAs return and what rookies could emerge |

I'm pretty sure he leads his KHL team in points if I'm not mistaken.
edit: 52 points in 49 games. |

With Gaudette/Pettersson maybe here next season and the Sedins gone things will look up on forward. Might have a UFA as well.
It's our D and goaltending that need massive attention. Edler and Tanev need to go but the team will not let go. Pouliot/MDZ/Stecher/Hutton/Guddy (maybe) is not a solid base for next year even as good as MDZ and Pouliot have been. Juolevi 'might' make the club but doubtful for another year. Gonna be real interesting where ownership takes this club in the summer. |

Utica getting healthier and starting to win some hockey games.
3 game win streak.
Cole Cassels surpasses his point total from last season in half the amount of games.
Brisebois has more points then 15OA Zboril.

If anyone doubts Adam Boqvist being a top 5 pick.
Erik karlsson has 37 pts in 38 games in SuperElit. 1 pt in 7 SHL in his draft year.
Boqvist has 18 pts in 17 game in SuperElit. 1 points in 8 games in SHL.
Boqvist is also a August 15th birthday. So one of the youngest players in the draft. - manvanfan

Sedin's aren't going anywhere.
MDZ and Poulout haven't been anything special, give them more minutes and tougher opposition and they get roasted. D should be a priority at the draft/UFA, but we are not at all deep at forward. Goalie I would not be surprised if we had the same tandem next year at all. That one is going to take a while. 2 more year, no quick fixes.

I read he's 5'10 and growing as well, not nearly as small as some on here have tried to paint him as. |

he's developing, in a developmental league, which gives him a chance to get really good at that level and maybe have a bottom 6 role with the Canucks in a few years. Maybe. Too bad were developing our undrafted scraps and not our high draftpicks. |

Ya I hear you I think they are back for at least another year.
Agree MDZ and Pouliot aren't Erik Karlsson material but to me they have been pleasantly surprising. Pouliot is in Greens dog house a bit right now but will pull out of it I'm sure.
I think we'll [pick around 6th so not sure the D we want will be available there but you never know. I don't think Nilsson will be here much longer...Green needs another option.

After the WJC performance of Zadina, Svechnikov and Tkachuk and #1 Dahlin. I think hes going to be the end of the top tier at 5OA. |

You're suggesting Demko stay in the AHL for 4 years? Thats pretty rare, most of the starting goalies currently in the NHL spent 2 years, maybe part of a third year before beginning their careers - i'd like to see Nilsson fawk off and Demko start next year as Markstroms backup. Don't think thats rushing him at all. |

So i guess all 3 (demko, nilson, markstrom) can come to camp and compete for the 2 spots.
Loser goes down to Utica. |

I would keep Gaudette far away from this sh*t-Show, particularly at the end of the (really ugly losing) season when morale should be at an all time low. Same goes with Demko.
To much going on at the end of the season to compound things. Does Benning get a new contract? Do the Sedins want an extension? |
