Have you noticed that the hockey talk has been better than the product itself

Hard to be excited about the actual games

After the all-star break hopefully we will see some more competitive games. Not more wins Just better hockey.

Don't worry.

Once Bo is back, the brand should get much better.

Its really been hard hockey to watch. Near the end of the Washington game even the announcers with over 2 minutes left said that Washington had the game in the bag.

It is near impossible to finish bottom 3 and be entertaining. I have accepted the losing and look forward to a top 5 pick.

I agree with Lefty to get two more second round picks.

Canucks also need to move on and next year bring in tradable parts because when it comes to mentoring and sheltering they stink at it. Three years in a row of bottom three is terrible sheltering.

Gudbransen could get us 2 of those.

So I can come back and don't have to play nice?

Carolina has a lot of cap space this year. Will have lots of cap space next season. LE will be really good with them I bet.

Why not just sign vanek instead ...less risk ...don’t give up assets ...and he isn’t horrible at hockey

I am sort of hoping for Tkachuk . I would like to see a fresh attitude on this club. Tkachuk Gadjovich and Lind would be an attitude line for sure

Probably will win a couple. Be harder once trades are made.

I think that Vanek playing with Brock has actually upped his value. Shows he can play with younger players and help them.

When Bo does come back maybe should split up Bo and Brock separate lines. Give JV a chance to play with Bo and Sven.

Just don't advocate bringing Ken Holland in as the next GM.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Iain MacIntyre: Don’t think the Canucks will trade defenseman Chris Tanev, but will likely move defenseman Erik Gudbranson and forward Thomas Vanek.

Mike Halford of The Athletic: Looking at some potential landing spots for pending UFA defenseman Erik Gudbranson: Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Florida Panthers seem more of an offseason move than at the deadline. Pierre LeBrun said the Washington Capitals could be looking for a veteran defenseman. The Pittsburgh Penguins could be another option.

Vancouver Province writer Patrick Johnston wrote last week that the Maple Leafs have offered prospect Andrew Nielson and a draft pick for a few months.

If Petr Mrazek is #19 on the trade bait list with these numbers
9GS 3W 5L 1OTL .885 3.78 at $4 million.

Nilsson
14GS 6W 7L 1OTL .901 3.57 at 2.1 and signed for another season.

Nilsson has been traded twice, both times fetching a 5th. I would take it.

Maybe ....Carolina would have interest in him over LE ... unless the Canucks throw in one of their 2nds they get at the deadline to sweeten the pot

LE, I don't think has become a throw away contract. A change of scenery for cheap is more his situation.

Mrazek is younger with better career numbers ...he had a 27 win season so teams will probably be more likely to take a chance on him

Maybe there’s a LE for Lucic deal out there
