I’ll take character guys like Bo, Eriksson and Sutter who all could’ve gotten more from someone else over mercenaries like McJesus and Drai
These are the guys you win with and build a culture around - Nucker101

I wouldnt want either player at the price and term they will cost. You just made my point exactly.
You probably think toews and kane are worth their deals? - mauryballstein

I don't know. Boeser looks like a serious talent. OV has certainly accomplished a lot more, but that isn't a fault of Boeser, it's his rookie season. Give him a few years and his accomplishments might compare rather favorably to the great 8.
That sucks for Jim Benning. My sympathy for his family's loss. - Thecakeisalie
good post.
watching boeser alot it seems he is carrying this team shift in/shift out , not bad for a roookie
Mattews has a FAR better supporting cast at the moment its not even close , the Nucks struggle to score is epic |

No room for him here. Too expensive since he’d eventually be a bottom pairing dman or even #7 in Vancouver |

Eriksson and sutter come on. This is my point over paying for players no matter how good or bad they are.
If you look at the top teams how many have bad contracts is my point.
No one is saying mcdavid or LD arent good or you woulndt want them. THe problem is how do you build the rest of the team if you have too much money tied up in 2 or 3 players. |

Love the racist comment its cute. If anyone doesnt know economics in this convo its you.
My point is id rather spread the dollars around the line up on good contracts then over pay 1 or 2 stars. |

Laugh it up but both took less money to be long-term Canucks. That should stand for something.
LE will bounce back, he’s a veteran leader and a 3 zone player.
Sutter is a shutdown 3LC who can score 15-20 goals and also a solid leader. |

Done deal. Hearing Richard Panik and Adam Clendenning also involved as part of the deal. @NHLBlackhawks @ArizonaCoyotes @NHL

So glad JB traded Clendening while he had any value |

Foundational piece.
All laughs aside, Sutter being out so long shows just how valuable he is as a 3C. I keep on forgetting LE is on the team. Anytime I think of lineups I forget him. Then its like, oh yea. LE. I find it too hard to believe he can go from 30 goals to this, in a blink of an eye. Is he really that much of a complimentary player? I guess so. Which then leads me to believe that he'll come around when more talent is infused into the roster. |

From Lebrun:
Quenneville says Panik has been traded for Duclair. There are two others involved too, but wouldn’t say who. |
