Nice move for Chicago, Panik was not panning out for his pricetag. - neem55
Lateral trade at best. Nothing special.
Panik can help the Yotes.
Duclairs character is questionable. |

Sedin's would not have made 7 mil each, safe to say, the last two years. - neem55
50 point players get paid 5 million.....
They're 50 point players, who would have been making 10 million when they were having hundred point season, it balances out.
Im hoping we can get them discounted on a multi year deal, 4.5 million per over 3 years, gives Jim one year after they retire to switch cores. |

Satir Shah and Judd Brackett good interview - VANTEL
Comets are a mess this season so keeping Dahlen away. Pushing for Canucks next camp to be a "show me how close you are" roster compete with all the budding prospects.
Lots of expiring contracts so room to make a rookie team to develop depth for Canuck call ups.
If they can trade Boucher after his AHL all-star game for a distributing center or two way that is better then Chaput and Dowd that would be best to develop rookies on Comets. |

You misunderstood. It is cashing in on Boucher all star spot light for getting a player playing in the AHL as a center.
What I wanted Canucks to do for Subban last season before his trade value dwindled down to Dowd.
I qualified that said center be at least better then Dowd and Chaput if two way. But hoping for puck distributer to help develop all the prospect wingers that will be flooding Comets next season. |

Best trade ever for the Comets. Reminded me of Money Ball when Billy Bean traded the player that the coach refused to bench , so they traded him so he could no longer be a distraction.
Subban still not in the NHL |

He's the only center that can play defense until Sutter and Bo come back. Canucks are over matched by other teams centers so he gets deployed often now to tread some water. He might easily find himself in the press box when both are back. |

That is fine and Boucher may be same. But point was on getting a better center for Comets to develop prospects next season. |

Holm and Cassels goals 5-1 Comets - VANTEL
They have gotten a few players back recently and having been putting some wins together.
Not as much of a mess as someone claimed in an earlier post, maybe we should paper down as many players as possible at TDL |

Too risky signing a player over 35 to a multi year deal. If that player retires before the contract is up the team is still on the hook, cap wise, until the contract expires.
Max 1 yr at 3 mil a yr. they have value but not that much. Van holds the cards, if they don’t like the deal, they are free to resign with anyone they want. |

JB talked about EP playing here next yr on the wing. I can see the Sedins signing for 1 yr and play with him. |

I think the canucks winning 10 more games this season is an easier task than beating out arizona and buffalo for last place |
